I'm not 6ft 3in...by....ooh..5 or 6 inches and I never worried about getting both feet flat on the ground. TBH, on tall bikes I only ever worried about getting the correct foot on the ground.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Sat Dec 02, 2023 7:22 pm I'm 6'3" with a 34" inside leg. I'm fine with most stuff.
When I put my GS on 'Two Helmets & Luggage' for the preload and then the firmest mode, I can just get both balls of my feet to the ground (I have the seat on the highest setting too).
It must be horrible being a smidget... I often say to my 5'3" wife.
Can you imagine a National Hunt jockey looking at a hoss and shaking their head because their feet won't touch the ground?
Doubt is not a pleasant condition.
But certainty is an absurd one.

Yebbut if you walk away from a horse without putting the sidestand down it doesn't fall over in a big heap...Count Steer wrote: ↑Sat Dec 02, 2023 8:09 pm Can you imagine a National Hunt jockey looking at a hoss and shaking their head because their feet won't touch the ground?

I've had a tall bike and yes, it's doable but I definitely feel happier with plenty of foot down, not flat but plenty. It's on dodgy surfaces when stopped the problems start, or those horrible U turns on a hill.
Might have another look at the xr, then I could sell the gs aswel.
