I always have the tv on when working from home. It seems to be all African kids with gimpy smiles and donkeys they guilt trip people with for money? The advertisements in the day seem more predatory than the ones n the evening?

Honest advertising may get banned. Like telling people 'if you have alcohol you will get drunk'

Re the tampon ads, 'not leaking' is quite important, especially for women who have heavy bleeding. How else could it be demonstrated (without being demonstrated, IYSWIM)?
Even bland can be a type of character

Does anyone else find the current Tesco Christmas ad just really weird and creepy?

Or is it just me?

I actually watched TV for the first time in months (possibly years) for the MotoGP finale on ITV. Even with a reduced number of adverts it was too much. Won't be doing that again any time soon.

I went to an event some years ago, and the guest speaker was Richard Noble, talking mainly about his Bloodhound car project. He was trying to get kids excited about engineering and approached the BBC to see if they would be interested in running a series about the car design and construction, access to all the detailed engineering etc. The BBC execs explained to him that BBC content must be able to be understood by an average 10 year old, that apparently is policy. He was turned down. Shame, would probably have been an interesting series!

I've tried to watch Brit shows that get aired in the US & give up after about 2 minutes. There's a bunch of expats who subscribe to BritBox.. I tried it & cancelled it within a day.
