Reading between the lines I notice in that statement that amongst others, he thanked Paul Bird & Frank Bird, but there's no mention of who's now running the team.In that Bennetts BSB video I put up the other day neither Tommy or Glen Irwin confirmed who they would be riding for in 2024.

I wonder is the team wrapping up?

I assumed they'd keep it going in Paul's memory.

Pure speculation, but my guess is that they're still getting over Paul Bird's death & sorting out his estate.

Tommy will be headed to the empty seat in Repsol Honda then.

I think Glen Irwin's got more chance of getting that ride :D

There'd be a language barrier between Glen and the English speaking team members. :silent:

The last I heard, they weren't, but that was during the last few races of the year. I guess anything could have happened since then.

Not sure who, of the big teams, have seats available.

He switched on the Christmas lights in Town on Friday night (he's a Devizes boy) and he seemed happy enough. Didn't say anything about next season.
What's happening with Wilf and Rapido Ducati?

I think they run just the one bike, Christian Iddon has signed for another season I believe.

I've heard Rory Skinner's name mentioned as Bridewell's replacement to run alongside Glen Irwin.

We shall see.

Yep, Iddon on the Oxford bike.

Yamaha, to replace Ryde, or maybe a Beemer (Haslam's team), is my guess.

That to me is a complete baffling decision.... But i'm guessing he was not wanted at PBM in whatever form it takes, so he had to jump to whatever was available/possibe. But i don't see the Honda being competitive at all. (although it does do better in BSB than elsewhere i'll admit).

Coz BSB bans TC and other stuff. So the more basic bike is equal to the others.

I can't see him keeping it,but hey. Maybe he's taken a leaf from Luca Marini's book, also starring Scott Redding in the daftest moves of all time. :silent:

They're all guesses, but I can think of a few reasons for making the move
Uncertainty over PBM for 2024,certainty at Honda. If PBM don't race in 2024 or only run a one man team he's leaving it late to find a competitive ride
Money,he's a proffesional rider maybe the rewards are better at Honda
The promise of a couple of wildcards in WSBK at Honda (although I'd be wary of promises from Honda)
Team dynamics, maybe he has a good relationship with the Honda crew members?
Until they brought it up in the interview I never realised how long it's been since Honda last won a BSB championship
Whoever wins it again for Honda will be highly thought of back at Honda.
