Hmmm. I quite like the yellow one.

Trying to make a motorbike with a forced induction kit bolted on (be it turbocharger or supercharger) look good is an exercise in futility. Especially a small (ish) cc one.

Especially when a bigger bike with more power and less hassle is usually a hell of a lot cheaper.

For some folk,if they can, they will. Whether or not they should is a side issue.

Although turbos are fairly common on small cars now.

The difference is that turbos can br 'hidden' on small cars easily; less so on bikes. And small engined cars tend to have more need of a turbo anyway.

This.

The wife's old 3 cylinder Fabia TSi had 95 bhp from a 1 litre, she drives my old 1.2 TSi Fabia now that I have mapped to something north of 135-140 depending on what fuel you use, but even the smaller 3 cyl would be far bigger and with a load of assorted plumbing that you'd have a hard job hiding on anything smaller than a Gold Wing.

Look at the turbo kits for the R7, all that money and hassle for the performance that an SRAD had back in 1996.

Don't forget that all the big manufacturers tried turbos at some point and none of them kept them in the range for very long because they weren't very good.

That's prertty much entirely for fuel efficiency and emissions though, something not high up on bike manufacturers' lists.

Much more room to hide it all! Plus much more budget to figure it all out.
