I think they did a tidy job with the design on your bike, it looks like it's about to spring into action. Kawasaki are good at making their top end bikes look fast and purposeful.

Nice harbour as well, good place to spring off from in a yacht to have a look at the Scottish Isles, although I don't know if I'm hard enough any more to brave the weather.
I like that angular,Sugomi, aggressive stance favoured by Kawasaki. Some KTMs,such as the 1290 have it going on too.

I have a good mate who is a lifelong seadog. He ran his own fishing boat for many years, but now in his 70s he has a sailing boat. Every year from early Spring to September he buggers off and goes where the notion takes him. It's an addiction, which leaves him little time for other things in life, because when he's not away on the boat,he's working on it for the next trip!

Ocean going types are a breed apart, for sure. He was of a similar mindset on the bike. I can go out for half an hour and be happy at that,he always had to bust in the big miles and have a purpose for starting the engine. On one notable occasion we went to Scotland for what was planned as a day trip, which took us to Skye and Orkney and we 'lost' a week! All his fault.

Ride was yesterday, took this photo today. My rare example of an ammeter that works was showing an intermittent discharge yesterday.

Was quite lucky to immediately find this AC terminal had corroded and heated.

The clear plastic sleeve that’s not black looks correct.

My younger brother and I bought the rolling chassis in 1979.

Didn’t go on the road until I think 1992.

Tyre is one of these, with not much wear. https://www.maxxis.co.uk/catalog/tyre-3 ... ssic-m6011
Until I actually look at it and it’s a Roadrunner AM20 90/90- 19. Image

The Maxxis is on the back.

Is that a fox’s paw in big burly biker circles?

The rear is worn and I’ve got a replacement. Can’t be bothered going out to check what it is. Think it’s some fairly modern Avon though.

What was most likely my last proper run out of the year late last week. Cloudy and miserable as hell weather wise, but not cold and very dry. Nice run out!

Just got back from the MOT station...

It's not warm, but the roads were dry and clean and it's lovely and sunny, here in the frozen North.

Got out for an hour or so around A and B roads in the Chilterns on the 765 this afternoon, bright and sunny down here but definitely not what I'd call shorts and flip-flops weather and I was very glad of the ( most excellent toasty) heated grips.
I haven't really ridden it that much lately and had been having thoughts about maybe getting rid as I've really been enjoying the Multistrada, but this afternoon's ride was brilliant, feels so much smaller and lighter than the Multi, and the motor really is a peach when you wind it on a bit, very addictive.
I just love the noise it makes and just how together it all is and the QS and blipper are the best of any bike I've tried
It's sort of like a modern-day LC to me- all in all, just fabulous fun if you're in the mood, and I think she's quite a looker too- a definite keeper! 8-)

It's a lovely fake chrome plastic one, doesn't bother me enough to do anything about it.

The paint is peeling from the rear hub, might do something about that some day.

Today!

Roads are a mix of dry and Autumnal greasy damp. The weather for 'careful' hooning!

Carrickfergus Castle shot for proof of riding event.
