Re: BPW 27th Dec, who fancies that then ?
It is said that back in the day Princess Anne, she off of the real Royal Family, out of the blue once rang Peter Cook, the comedian, and asked if he would be interested on going on a date with her.
More than a little horrified at the very notion and stalling for time, he asked when she had in mind for this date?
When she told him he pretended to consult a calendar and, after faking some suitably disappointed noises, regretfully informed her...
.."Ma'am, I find that I am watching Television that evening and must decline" and hung up on her.
Bike park Wales. In December, you say?
>consults imaginary calendar<
Sir, I find that am doing anything other than that and must decline. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....

Working Nights so it’s a No from me, television may also be involved
"Of all the stories you told me, which ones were true and which ones weren't?"
"My dear Doctor, they're all true."
"Even the lies?"

At least working is a valid reason.MingtheMerciless wrote: ↑Wed Nov 22, 2023 5:51 pm Working Nights so it’s a No from me, television may also be involved

So i think it's only me, @Couchy and @Beancounter from here on this. Hopefully Stefan from Rotec Cycles may make it too.
I've asked a few of the other 'fast' crew for the boy, but at the moment he may be either riding stuff on his own, or slitting his wrists waiting for us.

I can't make this but think at dinner point I should go, only thing is I can't jump. I can drop off things ok unless they're massive but otherwise my wheels are fixed to the floor.
Is it worth going out should I learn how to get a bit of air first?

Jumping isn't a pre-requisite at BPW although on a few bits your wheels will naturally leave the floor for sure... but not in a deathy OMG i'm going to crash kind of way, just a floaty drifty just off the surface kind of way. It's an awesome place though with just about everything from fast easy green Kermit which i'm amazed @Couchy hasn't ridden, it's like a go-kart track. To massive techy gap jumps the size of canyons... It's got it all... Wrapped up in a nice pretty bow

I do have the Tonka Truck and a powered Tonka Truck - but the seat post on the latter has gone on holiday to MK to be replaced by Trek's Mothershipweeksy wrote: ↑Mon Dec 11, 2023 4:09 pmYOu've got a big boy bouncer and are a Morzine vet !Mr Moofo wrote: ↑Mon Dec 11, 2023 3:57 pmI am looking after family 26th / 27th - so I can't comeweeksy wrote: ↑Mon Dec 11, 2023 1:50 pm So i think it's only me, @Couchy and @Beancounter from here on this. My wheels don't leave the floor either, save for the few bits that naturally lift you inches as Weeksy says. The only drops I do are on Insufficient Funds and are a few feet at most. I mainly ride the natural trails of the Surrey Hills and find they are more challenging than BPW but BPW is smiles all the way.Ditchfinder wrote: ↑Tue Dec 12, 2023 8:14 am I can't make this but think at dinner point I should go, only thing is I can't jump. Re: BPW 27th Dec, who fancies that then ?
A week to go then
We all ready ? I'm still slightly debating what MTB i'll be riding, but i'm 99% it'll be the Trek Fuel. The lad will be on the DH as you'd expect of course.
I'd say we'll be at the Premier Inn pretty handy, so it's possible we'll be half-cut by the time anyone arrives and nursing a hangover the next morning
