Daytona 675r vs f3 800. ??
Starting to itch again...keep looking at these 2 bikes. Never rode either. Looking for something sportier, so the mt may go.
So, has anyone rode/owned one, pro, cons, Leaning towards the 675 as maybe a safer bet. f3 do seem to have mixed reviews regarding fuelling amongst others things.
Any thoughts gang. ???

Assume you mean the F3 800, rather than a belt driven BMW
Not ridden either, but the F3 has got to be more special!

I own a Street Triple,675R but I've never rode a Daytona or a BMW.
I don't know about BMW reliability or running costs but I do know about Triumph's & I'll bet your MT09 is a lot less 'needy 'than the Daytona, choose carefully....

I'd have a Daytona. The F3 is more special, but wouldn't be sure you'd want to live with it longterm.
Daytona's feel tiny to me though. There's plenty out there, too.

No experience myself, but my brothers mate had an MV 675 Brutale. My brother rode it and said it rode like a full on mental sportsbike. Really aggressive and rock hard suspension and seat. He'd had a 2006 ZX636 which whilst not as rock hard and headbanger as the first B1 model, was still pretty full on and he said the MV was more so. Good fun for a blast but reckoned it'd make him ride like a tit all the time.
How that compares to the 800 though I've no idea. So probably no help at all

I owned a Daytona 675, blue frame and white / blue pearlescent paint. Great bike, sounds wonderful at high revs, but I found it a little tall for my liking. The exhaust valve needed frequent stripping and lubing else the mil light came on. Used an OCBD cable and free software to sort it. Ultimately I sold it for a street triple.Dodgy69 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 21, 2023 2:43 pm Starting to itch again...keep looking at these 2 bikes. Never rode either. Mate of mine had the f3 800. Beautiful to look at, well made but a pig to ride. He was an advanced track day rider and he just lost patience with it. The mapping was really bad and MV didn't sort it out. Sold it after six months and lost a shed load of money.
675 would be my choice. A lot of bang for your buck.
Get one, you know it makes sense

If? That to me is a definite no.
Telly. Car. Bike. All the same. Need 100% reliability.

Even if it breaks, you're still top trumps 'cos you rode one. Red and silver

Christ...I thought I'd made my mind up.
I'll put the 2 bikes up, then you can tell me which to buy.

Accossato master cylinder is the fault. Not the original.

Oh c'mon. If I could origami myself onto either of them I'd be all over the F800. Err, remind me, what make is the other one?Dodgy69 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 21, 2023 7:32 pm https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/155761724288 ... media=COPY
