Brad Ray's 2024 team
Looks like Brad Ray's doing the full WSBK season next year https://bikesportnews.com/world-superbi ... ll-season/
Taz McKenzie is also moving up to Superbike, good to see them both on the grid for 2024

I'm a bit of a Taz fan so will be rooting for him- think he'll likely have a job on his hands with that bike but here's hoping

Re: Brad Ray's 2024 team
I'd still love to hear someone explain Taz's 2023 ride in WSS as a positive thing. It looked like a waste of time right from the start. Yeah,I know he won a race,but...yanno.
I hope 2024 works out better for him and Brad Ray.

Re: Brad Ray's 2024 team
As an outsider looking in I would say that it put him in the spotlight with Honda,I doubt he would have got the Suzuka ride or the 2024 WSBK ride without him being in that paddock

I'm mistrustful of Honda, they are great at promises. Remember how Johnny Rea stayed loyal, hoping for great things from Honda, yet all he got was a guest ride on a Motogp bike and told not to crash it. Years were wasted believing in promises that never came. I'm of the opinion JR would have done well in Motogp back then, but he was fucked about and then became too old anyway.

Apparently Taz is getting a new Fireblade with fancy airbox and cheap after market exhaust.

They all go over to the TT every year, almost under cover so they can enjoy the whole thing.

Re: Brad Ray's 2024 team
Considering the fact the Honda is garbage, I'd be astounded if he sees much of the top 10

Both Brad and Taz are really nice people, both deserve to do well.
Midori Moriwaki also seems very nice so I hope they do well.

...and back to BSB.

It's a shame he didn't get the results in WSBK, I really like him.

Re: Brad Ray's 2024 team
As soon as it was announced that Vickers was going to WSBK I thought the replacement rider would be Brad Ray.He delivered OMG a championship & appeared to have left on good terms. You can't blame him for trying, but any UK rider going to either MotoGP or WSBK is at a massive disadvantage.
I hope he goes well adapting to a BSB bike again for next season.

Re: Brad Ray's 2024 team
The gap between BSB ad WSBK is so big now that it's not possible for a rider on an inferior bike,or an underfunded team to make a difference,so they go largely unnoticed. It's a shame for us,but it must be madly frustrating for a rider that knows he could be competitive with the right team and bike.

It's a smaller gap to WSS. It worked for Cal Crutchlow, but not for many othersSkub wrote: ↑Wed Oct 09, 2024 1:32 pm The gap between BSB ad WSBK is so big now that it's not possible for a rider on an inferior bike,or an underfunded team to make a difference,so they go largely unnoticed. The gap to Moto2 is still too big as shown by Rory Skinner.
