A grand to win the inters...

Post by KungFooBob »

Purely hypothetical. Purchase costs doesn't include track tyres, prep, etc... it's only a bit of fun.

If you only had a grand to spend on a bike to use on trackdays, what would you buy?

Back up you choices with some horrid ebay listings :)

I'm expecting lots of FZR600's and SRAD's.

I wouldn't win whatever bike I was on, so I'd just as well be comfortable :)

I have a secret crush on the 1100S, but they go for proper money, that won't stay at a grand for long.

Yeah, I wasn't taking this too seriously ;)

I used to try and get an RS as a loaner from the dealer whenever possible. Only downside was it sounding like a Honda 250 Superdream.

An older R1150R would do the trick in comedy style, forget when but one of the PB lads had an old R1150RT that held its own in inters.

I'd reckon this could be made to handle well enough to do the job. £750
