Black Friday Sale

Post by Silly Car »

As reminded by the Friday thread, it would appear to be Friday.

What do you have on the radar to buy from the actual deals and those prices which have been dressed up as deals?

I’m toying with getting a quad lock phone kit for the phone in the car (30% off) and a new laptop from the Dell outlet (13% off) which may yield greater discount if a plan comes together to go self employed (100% tax deductible in first year).

I’ve not browsed Amazon for their ‘deals’ yet…

I want a Timex Expedition North Chronograph... But that and the Expedition North Titanium seem to be the only two watches not in the Sale!

I need to buy her indoors a birthday present, but can't think what!

Just installed a NEST controller in my Step Dads place. He is a bit shaky and struggles with using the app, so I thought we'll hook it up to a Amazon Echo alexa thing which was £57.99. Held off until black friday and got it for £31.99.

Amazon echo half price (the one with the clock) to replace the Echo Show in the bedroom, which keeps increasing it's screen brightness in the middle of the night and disturbing my sleep. £100 off a fridge freezer from AO. Kettle blew up this morning with perfect timing so collecting one from Argos later. I think that'll do ...

I'm eagerly waiting for a deal on a Leatherman Arc, I'll be waiting for quite some time it seems. Most places sell out quickly and people are paying the full price. £260 is totally unjustifiable imo

Last year my mum bought me a single waffle waffle iron in Lakeland's black Friday sale for £5. I quite like it, but being able to make only one waffle at a time can be annoying.

I was thinking about buying a multi waffle iron, but I reckon I'll see if I can get a couple more five quid single ones this year!

I quite like the G9 too by the way Iccy, but it also strikes me as peak "I don't actually have my own sense of style" stylish purchase for some reason

Got myself a pair of Loake chukka boots for work.
Not from their top range but good enough for £120, same as I could get another Barbour pair for....

Amazon are doing a 55 inch smart tv for £149, but its invite only. So I've asked for an invite. Probably won't get one as I think it's a ploy to get you on the site, but you never know.

I like the idea but I think you're spending £38 to save £2 in gas before it breaks.

Bought some stuff, but none of it "Black Friday" deals. Just stuff we needed for the house anyway. At least now the wife is happy. There is an office chair that has a bit off on the sales, need to show it to her first though.
