I think the problem is that now it's been made such a tech warfare and SOOOOO close in terms of development and technology that anything that makes even 0.1s per lap could play a massive influence overall. So they're now coming up with things that are quite frankly ridiculous like this. But if that's the difference between a GP win and a 2nd place, then it's hard to say no.
With teams having their own wind tunnels etc and being restricted on lots of other things they cannot change, they're always going to spend their time changing the things they can instead.

I keep hearing the Kevin Shwantz quote in my head about John Koscinski when I watched the sprint race!

That was an interesting race.

Incidentally, someone needs to hoof Aleix Espargaro in the plums, just for his arrogant attitude the last few rounds. His behaviour towards Morbidelli in practice was well out of order.

Glad it's pushed the title to the last round. Still have a feeling I'll be losing the Fantasy league.

And yes, Aleix needs a push, perhaps into retirement. I thought his antics in India were bad. This just reinforces the opinion.

I suspect I've got a fairly healthy deficit and am in last place, I can't remember my log in for it.

He needs to retire and take up a test rider's role at Aprilia. These outbursts are happening too often.

Are we in 'no spoiler' mode? I don't honestly see why we should be in a thread about Qatar MotoGP, but see weeksy's post below...

Jorge Martin's sprint win, after all the tantrums and throwing of toys in practice, shows me that he really really wants that title and he's prepared to give it his all to get it. The first couple of laps was real heart in mouth stuff (to be fair the whole race was) but showed that he was prepared to risk all to come away with the win. Jorge has complete mental clarity about what is needed to win the title and the determination to do whatever it takes.

In contrast, Pecco Bagnaia seemed almost becalmed. I don't know if he had a technical issue, or he just couldn't run the pace of those in front, but he needs to come out swinging on Sunday or the momentum is going all the wrong way for him.

And Peccos gf is very high class Italian, but Jorge's gf is an absolute babe.

Thread about GP, post anything you like in it.

Topics completely unrelated to racing, then no.

This is a thread about the race, so knock yourself out
