Re: In todays news...
Now is the winter of Tory discontent (or discount tents ).
Sunak hasn't got a clue, he replaces Braverman who I wasn't keen on but she was at least trying to deliver on the soundbite politics that got them into office in the first place, and brings back the utter empty shell of Cameron who caused Brexit and then ran away. I think the only time this Tory government have been any good was in the first year of covid, but that's only because Boris is a secret champagne socialist and they had little choice anyway.
Sunak is a Rees-Mogg with less charisma and Cameron is a clown without any decent magic tricks.
General election now please.
Short the pound and retire on the massive crash when Starmer takes over.

You couldn't make it up,they're interviewing a tory MP on R4 at the momment, says he's glad to see the return of Cameron & he associates him with doing good things for the country. I've had one of my outbursts & started swearing at the radio againNoggin wrote: ↑Mon Nov 13, 2023 12:16 pmWTAF ?????mangocrazy wrote: ↑Mon Nov 13, 2023 10:50 am David Cameron back as foreign secretary (having been made a life peer). I also find it really weird, it's like that programme on the telly where they had Ant & Dec behind the scenes telling people to do outrageous stuff.Bustaspoke wrote: ↑Mon Nov 13, 2023 5:20 pm

I bet Ant & Dec were sitting behind a screen by Sunak pissing themselves and suddenly Ant goes "Oh...oh...I've got a brilliant one....tell them that you're bringing Cameron back..." and they all piss themselves laughing
I can't imagine any scenario where you'd bring Cameron back into any political party as a confidence booster for success
This is at least as bad as Corbyn being detached from reality.
I hope they call a GE very soon, after the revolving doors it would be fair to do it asap.

My day has been made in learning that Suella is actually called Sue-Ellen , after the character in Dallas. Her mum was a big fan, apparently.

That was 1736 ish.

It all went south when they took away BoJo's water canons! Imagine how much more entertaining the tv footage would have been if they were put into use! I'd have given a soapy tenner to see Corbyn spun down Whitehall on his back by said water canons!

By all accounts she is keeping her powder dry and will drop the bomb at a time calculated to cause Sunak maximum damage.
