Went to a Pizza Hut. Guess what they'd run out of ... ?

Frozen bases, delivered in boxes every week.

Pizza in this country...don't get me started.

We were stood in the middle of Bologna earlier this year, slap bang by the due torre, and we stopped for a slice of pizza at a little counter-serve shop. Fresh dough was being rolled out and huge pizzas being made fresh. As soon as they were out of the oven, they were sliced and didn't hang around for long, consumed by the locals (lots of students). Each slice was one euro. It was bloody lovely. We scoffed a slice each, then, as we still had beer in the bottle, we went back for a second slice.
We've got....Greggs. :(

That was roughly what I said to the PH manager, suggesting that he phone Dominos and ask them to deliver a few ("they're just down the road, I'm sure they wouldn't mind").

At that point, the manager gave us each 'medium' pizzas for the price of small.

There are several places in MK which I would consider to do "proper pizza". One of them has one them Lamborghini 4x4s, bright orange and all branded up.

Probably explains why one Pizza is £30.

I picked up a shitty cold/ sore throat combo at the weekend. So when I went to work on monday I took my RTTL buff thingy.

When speaking to customers, when going into reception, when going into the crib room, I donned my buff.

After 6-7 negative comments I finally replied.

" I have a nasty cold, in order to protect you lot from getting it, I am inconveniencing myself by an insignificant amount. Yet here you are mocking me, mocking me for being considerate. That probably says a lot about you really doesn't it !?? "

It's hard to get a decent Cornish pasty in Cornwall tourist areas.

True, there are several companies making 'pasties' that are not fit for anyone except emmets.

There's a huge place in Hayle called Phlipps or summat.
Tourists queuing down the street for commercial shite.

No, Philps may be commercial but they are pretty reasonable. There is a huge commercial bakery in Indian Queens that produces real shite. And of course Ginsters in Bodmin.

I can get a proper pasty here too - sadly I need a car to be able to go down and buy one, but it would be worth it!!!

Had one from here a few weeks back. Probably the best I've ever had

If you're in Tintagel and not eating an Excaliburger you should burn in hell.

On the pastie front, one of my favourite pastie places was in woolacombe ( yeah, I know that's Devon, it's probably closed now anyway) and they told me they imported them frozen from France ffs.

Confusingly, never seen anything remotely like a pastie out here.

IIRC the oldest pastie recipe is from Devon.

Pasties are French, the word comes from Medieval Fronch, so them Bretons down in Cornwall imported them when they immigrated.
