I like that angular,Sugomi, aggressive stance favoured by Kawasaki. Some KTMs,such as the 1290 have it going on too.Harry wrote: ↑Sun Nov 01, 2020 12:41 pmI think they did a tidy job with the design on your bike, it looks like it's about to spring into action. Kawasaki are good at making their top end bikes look fast and purposeful.
Nice harbour as well, good place to spring off from in a yacht to have a look at the Scottish Isles, although I don't know if I'm hard enough any more to brave the weather.
I have a good mate who is a lifelong seadog. He ran his own fishing boat for many years, but now in his 70s he has a sailing boat. Every year from early Spring to September he buggers off and goes where the notion takes him. It's an addiction, which leaves him little time for other things in life, because when he's not away on the boat,he's working on it for the next trip!
Ocean going types are a breed apart, for sure. He was of a similar mindset on the bike. I can go out for half an hour and be happy at that,he always had to bust in the big miles and have a purpose for starting the engine. On one notable occasion we went to Scotland for what was planned as a day trip, which took us to Skye and Orkney and we 'lost' a week! All his fault.
