Mines going singlespeed, I’ve noticed I’m getting lazy on climbs and sitting and spinning so its back to one gear and all or push!
Sod that, I don't understand it at all. To me it's like the worst of all worlds, apart possibly from expense.
I get simplicity though, I'd like more if that sometimes. Tomorrow I'm stripping the SWorks suspension linkages and seeing which is making my lads bike sound a bit grindy
The fitness boost from SS is very noticeable after a few months (the first month is hell and I have to be careful not to overdo it). I won’t say I enjoy it, but the hard work is worthwhile.
Specializeds use stupidly small suspension bearings, so if I were you I’d expect to change them all at least annually and maybe more frequently if used in winter (as a 2015 Enduro owner I have some experience in this, well handing money over to the LBS as they’ve got all the blind bearing removal tools).

The 6 linkage bearings I can do. The rest will require some investigation yet. I know them 6 need doing so I'll worry about them first. I don't mind once every 12 months, but every 3 would be a pain.

Awesome 45km of trails today... i think out of the 45km we may have done 2.5km of road to link a few bits, but basically was all trails.
Lots of leafy woodland singletrack, lots of twisty fun and lots of laughs doing a set of steps/stairs in Snelsmore common, i got about 30% of the way down and they became steeper and uneven drops, longer steps, the bike was all over the place. But somehow i survived !!!!
Coffee and scone with jam and clotted cream... Mmmmm
Took the Canyon out for its first outing today hit a few north london hills and went to Ally Pally. . Just playing with seat height and sable position. Moved the levers a bit as well. Only did tracked 7km or so and forgot to press play so would of been a little more. Liking it. Feels smaller than my last bike but liking. Looking forward to a longer trip this week.

Was good, a lot better than my older bike, feels smaller as well. I still feel pretty knackered from yesterday. I need to get some more cycle miles down.
I might do my work cycle route and see how it goes it some point
Very happy with it.
Managed to get home before it really tipped it down.

placed a Facebook market place advert for the Boardman this afternoon and sold it with in 3 hours, well happy, guy is going to put a engine on it from aliexpress.
Took the Canyon out for a proper ride today, went to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic park. Was nice to ride out there through london, went to east london and was a proper w**ker and had a coffee and croissant
Bike feels great, quick, not as quick as my mate on his road bike but maybe he’s just fitter than me . Great upgrade from my 10 year old Giant though. Loving it, just might play with seat position a bit more.

I went out for an hour, the first 20 mins being in the local woods where my lad and his mates go jumping. I'm not as good as him as you know, but i do need to try and keep my hand in, so was messing about there, i still need more speed for one particular jump to land where they are... they're crazy fast on it. Mrs Weeksy has been abusing me since i told her "You went to the woods to practice where our 12 year old plays??? " "errrrm, yeah "
I then finished off with some scenic riding, that's about 3/4 of a mile from my door, top picture is over towards Didcot/Harwell, bottom one is on the way to Goring
So met up with a mate and did some laps of Regent’s Park. Was nice, bit chilly, but nice to get a few more miles done. Starting to really like the bike, just moved the seat back slightly as position is nearly sorted now as well. Whole bike feels so much slimmer than the old one.

As the lockdown kicked in and my work shut down as the DVSA cannot comprehend that motorcycle training is all socially distanced it means i have time to go cycling again more.
Managed to get out and about and so far this week have got in about 65 miles split over 3 trips out mainly on roads on the auld MTB. Will get back onto the dunes as well to get away from what little traffic there is about but trying to get out every 2-3 days and get back into the routine for the next 3 weeks

Nice one Yin, i hope you enjoyed it
First one was a bit Oww but my gym work has been high cadence, high resistance for 20-30 minutes maximum on static bike ...... An hour and a half at a time for 22 miles each was a bit different
2nd and 3rd ones were easier so i am settling back in again
Bloody hard work going riding when you're on nights.
