It must look better irl because all I'm seeing is a dragon and some pointless chinesey characters like you're a Christmas cracker ninja.

My SKX009J - slightly more sought after than the 009K. The J is made in Japan and the K made in Korea. Difference is that the J has made in Japan at the bottom of the face and also 21 Jewels stamped on the face.

Why would you want a Super Cub Special edition, when you can have a Bruce Lee!!!

I tend to stay away from the Seiko 5 but am a fan of the SKX.
I had an older one that was spectacularly inaccurate, but the new movements are loads better, this new one seems to be at COSC standards, just a few seconds a day.
Yeah - I think the newer ones are hacking and can be hand wound as well?
My one has the hacking seconds so I set it bang on time (compared to my phone) when I got it. I've just checked it 10 days later and its lost pretty much bang on 30s...so about 3s a day. AFAIK that exceeds COSC specs I think?

'course, my phone is still bang on  That doesn't get wound up just by moving about though.

That's not bad, about 3s a day is on a par with pretty much any automatic watch over a month.
The Seiko I bought is spectacularly accurate, over a day it was about a second, but I haven't worn it for more than about an hour, so they tend to be more accurate if left in one position.

And there is always relativity and spacetime to consider.
Did you leave your phone at home and go for a run wearing the watch?

I've heard from a few people they're actually a bit shit and cheapo, even by the standards of their price point?

Do like the red one though :D

Well, it depends what you're expecting, if you're expecting an Omega watch then it feels cheap and plastic but if you're expecting a Swatch with an ETA G10 movement then they're not.

The price is just the price, trying to break it down to make sense of it won't work, it's a fashion item, so you pay the price or don't.

Mrs Potter has the red, yellow and green ones.

I do want to get a watch (at some point), so I look here and then google the ones mentioned. Ok, most are mens watches, but I can look for women's versions. But damn, they are all soo BIG :( I have narrow wrists relatively small hands and short fingers (I know, a dream for some, but not when watch looking!!) so most watches I see and have tried are just hoooooge :( :(

I rather like the blue Omega/Swatch, but again, it's huge and I'm not sure I'd want to tell anyone I'm wearing a Uranus watch on my wrist

Naturally I have a chap who deals with such inconveniences and I don't have to wait in line, but I assumed that anyone could just walk in and buy them? :eh:

Because I'm nice I'll sell you one of mine for only double RRP if you want

The first batch sold out pretty quickly, iirc you had to buy them from an official Swatch shop.

They promised a restock, but it's not happened yet (unless I missed it as they're all still sold out).

We were in one of the flagship stores this morning, they have stuff to sell, but only to people that they judge worthy of the privilege

Looking at the Moonswatches on t'bay, they don't seem quite as mental as they used to be.

You can get a boxed one in as new condition for between £275 and £350 depending on the colour, last time I looked people were asking £600 for them, which is mental when RRP was £250.

I want to get one of them, just haven't been up to London to pick one out for months, last time I went the Oxford Street shop didn't have any. The other Swatch shop in London, Covent Garden, was refusing to stock them because, iirc, the manager got punched out by a "customer" because they had run out of the variant he wanted.
