HP Envy 17-CR0503SA Laptop
This thing has a ambient light sensor. Anyone know how to turn it off? I cant find any setting nor in BIOS and online suggestions do nothing. Nest stage is open the laptop and pill the wire as its that bloody annoying.

Re: HP Envy 17-CR0503SA Laptop
Is it? Quick google was telling me Ambient light sensor. I sit at the window and when the sun is direct onto the sensor it changed the light on the screen what i am finding annoying as and shadow, even for a few seconds make it change again, then again. I dont want a sticker on the screen so looking to turn it off if i can

Untick the "change brightness automatically..." box should fix it

That box was already un ticked I am trying to refrain from sticking a sticky plaster over the sensor but feel i am going to have to. The bloody thing is not even mentioned in the set up manual.
