Bagster tank bags
Bagster tank bags
I'm a great fan of them but having bought a bike they don't make a harness for I'm wondering if I could get one made up by a seamstress/saddle maker if I rob the important parts from another harness (as with these things I only went and binned an old one a few months ago), what do you reckon - or has anyone done such a thing or know any willing professionals I could ask?

Re: Bagster tank bags
no reason why you shouldn't bastardize another one as long as the shape of the top of the tank will take the profile of the donor bag
I love bagsters but mainly because they are really good fitting tank covers which still look OK without the tank bag in place.

Re: Bagster tank bags
I had some tank covers - not with the latches mind - knocked up to protect the training GS500s. They were made from cloth-backed vinyl. I think the only difference with the Bagsters is that they are lined with foam.Dickyboy wrote: ↑Thu Oct 12, 2023 6:44 pm I'm a great fan of them but having bought a bike they don't make a harness for I'm wondering if I could get one made up by a seamstress/saddle maker if I rob the important parts from another harness (as with these things I only went and binned an old one a few months ago), what do you reckon - or has anyone done such a thing or know any willing professionals I could ask?
