I thought it was a Photoshop job when I opened the thread. :D

As a proof-of-concept it just has to be functional, which it looks like it is.

I'd hope they'll make the final product a little, sorry a LOT less boxy and home-made!

Wrap an RT fairing around and it would need a second look to realise.

Looks like an actual electric concept study by BMW from the mid 80s. Sort of thing they'd show on Tomorrow's World. 18bhp and 39 miles range, projected price of £6900 by 1992.

I think motorcycles should be treated differently to car's. Petrol engines should be allowed to continue in motorcycles for at least another 50 years, maybe longer. 👍

I don't think that side-stand's long for this world.

In the side-on shot it looks like the engine hasn't fully rendered yet :)

Believe it or not...

https://www.bennetts.co.uk/bikesocial/n ... bmw-boxers

Dutch firm LM Creations has launched a conversion kit that takes an existing BMW R45, R60, R75, R80, R90 or R100 – basically anything from 1969 to 1995 – and turns it into a battery-powered electric bike without destroying the distinctive look of the boxer twin engine.
