I think they're all Semites, aren't they.

It's hard to take sides with any of them tbh.

Well, there may be some connections.
Explain why you think that. The Palestinians don’t hate Israelis because they’re Jewish, they hate them because they curtail their freedoms and steal their land. Anti semites won’t be especially active because of this. Far right parties are active all the time and yet Jewish people don’t get this protection all the time. The government don’t crack down on far right activity or demonstrations.
If you compare Israels 1948 borders with its current borders you'll see where the major problem lies ...

As an old friend of mine said 'If you see two naked, dead male bodies side by side you won't be able to tell me which is the 'Israeli' and which is the 'Palestinian'. They'd both circumcised and look just the same. (They'd probably never eaten pork either). They're all 'arabs' and the divide is all about religion/power. It's changed as the religious from other countries have gone 'home'.

Same as it ever was, same as it ever was - as someone once said. The only difference is you are only allowed to criticise one side and our Home Secretary knows that.

I've already said... Israeli settlers have been taking land from the Palestinians since the formation of the Israel state.

As the saying goes 'You reap what you sow'
I lived in Israel in 1988-1989 in my back packing days,I lived on a couple of Kibbutz.Up to that point I'd never really met any Jews or Muslims so it was all a bit of an eye opener. The country itself is probably the most interesting place I've ever stayed in,but IMHO as a modern state it's fundamentaly flawed, how can you build a modern state on someone else's land? That kind of mentality worked 200/300 years ago (I can think of a few countries built on other peoples land) but it's from a distant time..
From what I remember,Israel was originally a smaller state but after the 6 days war Israel occupied the westbank,Sinai & the Golan heights.
I think a lot of the problems now are because the Israeli's encourage settlement in the occupied West bank & have a terrible attitude to the Palestinians, like some kind of apartheid.I can see why the Palestinians in Gaza are always kicking off,it's a ghetto & the oppressors are the Israeli's,there;s a generation of young people with poor prospects & a lot of anger aimed at Israel.
It's tragic & I find it depressing & sad, but they'll be going at each other until the end of time.

They’ll be going at it until the end of time, unless and until some time after the Palestinians change their objectives.

Right or wrong, they are not going to drive the Israelis into the sea, or any sentimental old shit like that.

If I were a teenage Palestinian living in Gaza I would probably be joining Hamas. If you have no hope and nothing to lose you will kick off, the worst they can do is end a lifetime of misery.

That's something we know followed by a rhetorical question. I've no idea what the point is that you're making.

Of course you know what the point being made is but for the avoidance of doubt here's a link that should help to obviate your professed ignorance of the origins of the Israeli-Palestinan conflict which after the 1949 war resulted in the displacement of about 750,000 Palestinians from what they saw as their own land.

https://www.cfr.org/global-conflict-tra ... n-conflict
The Israeli-Palestinian conflict dates back to the end of the nineteenth century. In 1947, the United Nations adopted Resolution 181, known as the Partition Plan, which sought to divide the British Mandate of Palestine into Arab and Jewish states. On May 14, 1948, the State of Israel was created, sparking the first Arab-Israeli War. The war ended in 1949 with Israel’s victory, but 750,000 Palestinians were displaced, and the territory was divided into 3 parts: the State of Israel, the West Bank (of the Jordan River), and the Gaza Strip.

Don’t go around losing wars, folks!

Their history of sympathy to the Axis didn’t help the Palestinians either.
