I just built an £80k one on the website...

For 5k deposit I could have it for 5 years at only £1185.74 a month.

Final payment only £40k... Not that you would, you'd enter into another PCP deal on a new one.

Personally I'd never do this, but plenty do.

I've just booked the SL in for an 'A' service... £135.

That's £500 cheaper than the last 'B' service :)

What's that line about not owning anything and being happy?

I believe it covers the ladder, which can be deployed to access the roof ...

Sitting here herding all my courage together to go across the road to a bar that is showing the rugby tonight. It's not somewhere I normally go and is very local. I really don't go there on my own unless I know friends are there or arriving!! LOL

Luckily I did check and a french friend is also going to watch the match, so at least there'll be one friendly face :D :D

I always thought most of the alternatives were worse actually. Own nothing and be unhappy, own lots and be unhappy.

I suppose 'own lots and be happy' would be  but it doesn't always seem to work like that.

TBF, I started off supporting the one I live in, but I did start to feel sorry for the bike makers :( :(

It's not often I'm envious, but it's dark, windy, wet here.

I do have beer

I'm going to bed in a mo! I'm not cold as such (got a big jumper on and a thick blanket!!) but the fingers of the hand nearest the window are definitely cold!

I think it's about 18 degrees in here - which in summer, when everywhere is very hot, is lovely. In winter when there's no heating in the building, it's just chilly!! LOL I baked brownies last night so the oven was on - when the brownies finished I turned the oven off and opened the door to take advantage of the heat :D :D

Not cooking, so going to bed!!!

Sitting at work looking at the time, it’s oh412, what does the “o” stand for? Oh my god the railway will be fucked this morning. Spent all night sorting out and planning emergency engineering work isolations and things badly overran on site(which might mean another emergency job to fix a track circuit failure gets canned meaning more delays during the day), also a Tamping Machine has tamped a set of clamp lock points so that’ll be another overrun.

Update , they’re going for the emergency repairs I thought would get canned, morning peak won’t look pretty!

You’d have paid c£70k and you’ll own nothing at the end of it.

I’m still planning to buy a new one, but with actual money. When I went into the showroom a couple of months ago the bloke was quite surprised that I was going to pay for it rather than put it on the never-never.

It’s an old fashioned notion, buying something with your own money, fortunately it’s currently still legal but he seemed genuinely unsure of the process of someone paying cash to buy a new car. He asked me a few times “So you’re actually going to pay for it in full?” before he seemed to get it :D
