It added that the financial issues it had faced on the draw had been resolved and said "there's a great chance that the next draw will be a huge success".
I can't see it being a tremendous success with this kinda publicity!!

Most of the house ones have it in the T&Cs that if the draw doesn't sell out the winner will be awarded a % of the actual ticket sales.

I dont like stairs! So bungalow roof on it then! :D

The House

Valued at £425,000 this property is the dream home! Fully furnished and fresh from a £150,000 renovation this 3-bedroom detached bungalow could be yours!
From landscaped gardens, bathrooms and a full rear-width extension, this property has been transformed to make it the ultimate prize. Add to this the en-suite master bedroom, open planned kitchen-diner, double garage, and office space, it’s the perfect forever home.

Location

8 Brockway, Poulton-le-Fylde, FY6 8AB
A market town, which is classed as one of the nicest places to live in the North West of England. It’s also within walking distance from local shops, bars, restaurants and even a Wetherspoons!

Here’s what’s close:

3 minutes – Nearest Restaurant – One of many in the town, Thai, Italian, Japanese, it’s got them all.

4 minutes – Train Station – You can be in London in just 2.5 hours.

4 minutes – Nearest Supermarkets, Booths – but there’s also an Aldi and a Lidl.

5 minutes – 5 x Pubs, Including a Wetherspoons!

6 minutes – Your nearest Golf Club! Foreeee!

10 minutes – From Blackpool, the beach, the Tower and all its charm.

13 minutes – M55 Motorway – A perfect commutable distance.

58 minutes – Lake District, perfect for those weekend hikes!

79 minutes – Manchester Airport – Fly away knowing you're mortgage free!

Value

The property has been valued at £425,000, or if you would be looking to rent it out, you can expect up to £2,000 each month in rental income. We would be happy to assist with a local Estate Agent to
manage this for you.

Fees

Elite Competitions will cover all fees and stamp duty on the property. You can sit back knowing there are no catches or extra costs, just a house ready to be transferred into your name.

That's actually a nice little village, good train station too, but I think their rent estimation of £2k is a bit optimistic.
That area used to be a pretty busy part of the country, so the links, infrastructure and amenities aren't bad, it's on the Blackpool link so you can get direct trains from there to a lot of places (e.g. York) and it's a 10 minute hop to Preston where you can get a train to anywhere else.

Go there during a normal weekday and you won't meet anyone under 65 though

Rental for me, preferably to film location company. Then I'd have a week or two every couple of years and ingratiate myself to the locals by saying we own this beautiful house here, but hardly ever use it... :silent: :shifty: :D
And the film production teams filling the road with trucks - locals will love that. Spread rumours about particular stars and you'll have loads of fans gawping and getting in the way too

Blackpool is what it is, it's hardly the west end but you can still see some decent shows there, and they have council estates, but where doesn't.
There are some tidy little oasis tucked up in mid and west Lancs.

If you had a million quid in your pocket and you moved into that place then you'd be cushty, it's like the land time forgot and the only thing you have to worry about is getting a seat at one of the many cafe fronts because it's rammed with retired people that have made their money and moved there to chill.
