So based upon your opinion of its looks (I disagree by the way, first GS I've thought looks half decent), you're saying the rest of the world should just ignore it...?

That BSA scrambler looks mighty good, i mean it's probably useless off road but unless it was awful to ride I could see myself buying one of those if they ever make it to production

Are you talking about BMWs or Superdreams, I suspect Honda sold loads more Superdreams than BMW have sold GS1200/1250s, by your logic that makes the Superdream a better bike.

I fancied an Italjet 200 as a family fleet vehicle for nipping about on, but apparently the performance is rubbish, I've watched YouTube vids and everyone was disappointed by the really poor performance, it's apparently about 20bhp and not much over 100kg but performance is way slower than expected. I watched a clip where it struggled to hold more than 65mph and if you hit a hill then it slows down even more.

You can get a Malossi full kit that they fit to the race scooters but no one will say how much it improves it, if at all.

The pic made me laugh but in a good way. If that had a fair bit more oomf, it would be awesome fun here. As it is, we me on it, Id probably have to get off and push it home up the mountain!!

I haven't applied any logic anywhere... Merely stated that the best selling 125cc+ bike for god knows how many years is being replaced for the 2024 range...

Just because someone else doesn't like it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist!!! I mean, I can't stand country music, or Harley Davidsons, doesn't stop either being lapped up in their vast quantities by millions of people though does it!

I'm certainly not buying an R1300GS by the way, if that's what you're angling at... I had a 1200 for a bit, didn't gel with it, tried to like it but found it quite dull and unengaging. Eminently capable, but just not very exciting... There are (subjectively) "better" Adventure Bikes out there for those of us wanting to get our thrills too, but I do understand why the GS is so popular at least even if it isn't for me.

Out of interest, do you level all hate towards Adventure Bikes on the whole, or just to GS's in particular...? Don't get me wrong, the marketing men needed shooting when they came up with the term "Adventure" for a category of bike, but I just don't get this "2 wheeled SUV" criticism that people who haven't ridden them level at them... Because the truth couldn't be further from the aspersions!

Apparently, the new 2024 Africa Twin has moved to a 19" front wheel and moved the power & torque lower down into the rev range. Seems like they are making more of a street bike of it compared to the older ones?
