New watercooled Himalayan up against the Triumph 400's should be interesting

There's the revised African Twin which Robert posted about. It's only an update though so not really new.

I like the idea of the Guzzi, more so as it gives an 'in' to ask people: "Are you a sponge or a stone?"

I had a small block Guzzi, a 2015 one. It was pretty, but the ride was terrible, I just couldn't get it to handle right. I sold it and bought a GSXR1100 instead.

Are there any interesting bikes coming out in 2024, or is just the dull shit mentioned already

No, it really won't be interesting, it's a battle to see who can be the dullest.

You missed the boat and missed the best modern bike, the XSR900 because of some weird seat unit issue.

There's the RS457... which is just a smaller RS660.

That single cylinder Ducati SM.

Those 400cc Trumpets.

The new Buell 'Super Cruiser'.

Kawasaki have two new leccy bikes out (in the 125cc class).

Is there a new one for this year that isn't offensively ugly?
I honestly tried to like it, but I just couldn't, it's a horrible looking bike, even the older ones look better.

There's a new RE Scrambler in the works... prob for release in the autumn shows.

And Suzuki have just revealed a hydrogen Burgman.

I'll take your word for it as that'd be a decade before I was even born

That BSA scrambler looks mighty good, i mean it's probably useless off road but unless it was awful to ride I could see myself buying one of those if they ever make it to production

Potter wrote: Thu Oct 05, 2023 2:13 pm I fancied an Italjet 200 as a family fleet vehicle for nipping about on, but apparently the performance is rubbish, I've watched YouTube vids and everyone was disappointed by the really poor performance, it's apparently about 20bhp and not much over 100kg but performance is way slower than expected. I watched a clip where it struggled to hold more than 65mph and if you hit a hill then it slows down even more.

You can get a Malossi full kit that they fit to the race scooters but no one will say how much it improves it, if at all.

It's disappointing in that it's about the same performance as (heavier) 200cc Lambrettas from years ago but, I suppose, as long as it's sprightly up to 40ish, as a local runabout it'd be OK. Looks pretty good.
