Insomnia. On steroids due to a chest infection but a side effect is insomnia. There is nothing more annoying than laying there hour after bastard hour with no chance of going to sleep and now I'm knackered as I've had about 4-5 hours sleep since monday!

Apparently the alcohol doesn't affect the medication generally, you just get pissed a bit quicker, bonus!

Get yourself some weed gummies. That's the only thing that helps me sleep when my Sciatica flares up.Taipan wrote: ↑Thu Oct 05, 2023 12:22 pmWine would be better but i'm on the dry due to antibiotics!

I phoned one of my disabled customers a couple of month ago to say i wont be there this morning as i am still on A&E. Oh she said, you might see my carer as she was in a smash this morning. I never seen her but it turned out she lost the car on a wet roundabout and she was over the limit as she arsed a bottle of wine the night before. I was drinking a bottle a night and that got me thinking fuck that. I would rather have my licence. Lucky if i have two small glasses now.

My peer reviewed, double blind experiment a couple of months ago proved conclusively that alcohol decreases the quality of sleep by a significant margin.Taipan wrote: ↑Thu Oct 05, 2023 12:22 pmWine would be better but i'm on the dry due to antibiotics!
Dunno if it's something in the contrails but the last couple of weeks have been full of v strange dreams. Maybe my neighbours are burning something exotic in their firepit.

I have odd dreams if I sleep on my front.
I think it's to-do with getting too warm.
High temp makes brain fuzzywuzzy.

Weirdly, I've been having trouble with sleep the last couple of weeks. Had just put it down to stresses, but it's weird as that hasn't changed really - should be better as I start work on Monday!!Count Steer wrote: ↑Thu Oct 05, 2023 2:30 pm

But I've gone back to waking a couple or more times a night, last night I woke a bit after 3am and didn't get back to sleep till nearly 5am Until a couple of years ago, that was totally normal, but the last couple of years I've done alright with sleep...... Soooo, about these chemtrails? Sorry, contrails!!

Having to fix stuff that shouldn't need fixing!
Fitted an eye plate into the garage of the moho, so I can tension the floor a bit if I've got the bike in there. Popped the turn buckle on, took up the tension, 1/2 turn, full turn, 1.5 tu.......puummffh. Fucking eye plate separated! Quick squidge tells me it was just pressed in ffs. Out with the mig, grinder and can of spray and I thing we're good to go again!

Ooooh. Insignificant but ooooh.
I love the sound of the French language. I like the sound of Spanish language.
But Portuguese????
Nah. It's horrible. Sounds same as Russian. Very harsh. And some folk add in a bit of Arabic. It's very strange.
I'm getting by with a combination of English and Spanish

Posting a parcel in France and the form I have to fill out has the tiniest boxes ever to fit my terrible handwriting in.
It's 20 bloody 23 FFS, I should be able to type in the address, the computer should check the address exists and then print a clear label!!
