I’m really glad it’s happened. It’s got to be positive for the class.

Looking forward to next season!

Marquez was a faster rider than Pedrosa when they were both at Honda and look at Danny on the couple of races he's had this year. My opinion is that there isn't the depth of talent in the MotoGP paddock to trouble Marquez on a competetive bike. I wouldn't be surprised to see him do well at Gresini then switch to KTM at the end of next season.

Premier class championships on three different marques would see him surpass Rossi's two, it's probably the only thing he's not beat Vale at yet.

Gresini haven't made their announcement yet, I wonder if they'll get 2024 bikes?

I doubt it, but yearly increases are tiny. The lap times hardly improve at all.

The important thing is the factory support. Gresini have a good relationship with the red factory.

It's going to be embarrassing for him if he doesn't win on a Ducati.

Everyone said it was shit, but somehow Stoner had managed to win on it.

I just hope that Ducati don't rely on him to much for development direction. Over the years of MM being the lead rider the bike gradually became one that only he could ride. There's an argument to be made that MM is part of the reason that Honda are in the state they are.

Doohan told the factory what he wanted.
Ditto Rossi.
Ditto MM.

We can never really know what input the factories take on board and act upon. I don't think the riders 'know what works', but they do know how they want the bike to behave and their input is skewed according to their riding style. MM can do things on a bike that few other (if any) riders can manage, so his input will be based on his level of bike control.

I think the reason that Dani is such a good development/test rider is that he didn't have quite the last half a percent of riding skill that MM had and as a result is able to communicate to the engineers what a top-level, but not super-freak, rider needs from a bike.

I saw an interview years ago.

Rider comes in and tells team what he wants.
Team do what he wants.
90% of time rider is happy.
It's the 10% that only the rider knows.

Indeed we have a very good test rider telling where the factory needs to go
