Sony PSVR2 or Meta Quest/Oculus People
I've had the PSVR2 headset for a few weeks now, and personally think its going to be the future of, oh well everything. I;m enjoying playing No Man's Sky ir VR and can say its the version of elite that we, I'll phrase that as I'm assuming the people who frequent this foru' are, older. I'll leave it at that. Yup Elite as you hoped it would be, you flying around in your spaceship.
I also bought it to play Pavlov. Not that I've played it yet apart from the intro. But that looks as it it may be my type of game.
So there you have it, anyone else have VR. I have to say that using the Sony VR is pretty awesome to use an Americaism. It has me wondering if I should 'upgrade' to the new Meta Quest 3.

Years back I tried PSVR1 my friend had, it was ok, but the graphics were very low quality, plus one game made me feel so sick for about half an hour.
Recently I tried his PSVR2, it was so much better than the older version. The graphics were amazing and the sense of immersion so much better. I tried Gran Tourismo and it was stunning, but certain camera movements made me feel a bit weird. I also tried the board game simulator Demeo which I thought was great fun and spent a good 20 minutes playing before I stopped because I thought I was being rude hogging it. Turned out I'd been playing for over an hour! I really did loose all sense of time without the usual real world indicators.
I thought I could really get into that, but at the time I didn't have a PS5 so it made it nearly a grand to buy, which was a no no. But now I do have a PS5 so have been considering getting one...

Nope, been there done that over 30 years ago, and whilst the graphics are lightyears better now it's a novelty I don't feel like repeating.

I played a police shootout thing on the old one, ducking behind barriers and popping out to shoot the perps was quite fun.

Re: Sony PSVR2 or Meta Quest/Oculus People
Reminds me. Last year, while walking along a footpath that used to be the local railway line I spotted a box in the undergrowth. It was dry, in pristine condition so I fished it out. Lo! It was a brand spanking new VR headset.
Took it home and opened it to find it was one of those that you slot your mobile phone into.
Thought about chucking it back in the hedge but put it in the recycling instead.

I seem to barely have time for games at the moment. But some of that is personal choice to spend time with t'other half (even if all we do is watch TV).
