Not "gran bastardo gordo" then? Personally I'd suggest replacing gran with el and going for "the fat bastard".Yorick wrote: ↑Sat Sep 30, 2023 9:19 pmBiggo Fatto Bastardo.

Re: interesting bikes found randomly..
High miles bargain?
Important notes:
This bike has has an engine change in its lifetime to the later 1290 Superduke GT engine, as such there are a few issues with the bike that you need to be aware of. On idle with the clutch lever let out it will idle at about 2000 rpm, with the clutch lever held in it will idle at 1100 rpm. If you blip the throttle the revs will hang at 2000rpm for approximately 2 second before returning to 1100rpm. It also does this whilst riding but not noticeable as you are moving with the engine revving anyway. The new style engine does not accept the older style gear position sensor and therefore will not show a neutral light or the gear that you are in. It is plugged and and tied up out of the road. There is damage to the front left fairing as you can see in the photos and the front left indicator is damaged. If you require any further information on this please send me a message.

Re: interesting bikes found randomly..
I had t'bay bikes sorted by distance and this popped up on the first page.
I know nuffink about them, or if it's worth the asking price, but it's a beautiful thing in what looks like amazing condition.

and I love the layout on the clocks...

That's in properly good order. I've no interest in that sort of bike whatsoever but if I had I'd buy it.

I was a teenager in 1965, and I lusted after that bike. It had almost twice the power of my BSA, and was lighter too.

Re: interesting bikes found randomly..
Neglected to post this the other week! D'oh!
This was @ Baffle Haus a few weeks ago, the bloke had just picked the bike up from the Norton Factory 3hrs previously, and ridden it straight there on his way home... He'd paid for the bike, in full, some 7yrs prior to the date he received it!
Don't get me wrong, I don't think he was short of a few quid anyway, but £45k isn't an insignificant of money for so long, whilst watching the company publicly get taken through the ringer by its former CEO...
There was also this rather nice RC30 there too...
