Got out on the bike for the afternoon, and had a meet up with Beanie at Boxhill.

Nice day for a ride, but the traffic and road condition were a bit of a shock after the high quality empty back roads in France

That's Garth...The worlds smallest Doberman. Has a bark out of all proportion to his 10lb size, sounds more like a 70lb dog

That's how a touring bike ought to look, instead of those gopping GS style Starbucks barnacles.
This is how I did it about 15 years ago :obscene-birdiedoublered:

I offered to take my wife and son out for a Sunday roast, but my son eclined saying they're never as good as Mums. This inspired my wife make one and by Christ the boy was right and she made a sponge cake too. Dinner of the year so far!

Was behind a de-badged merc for part of my commute home, looked like an AMG spec C Class Coupe with the registration GAM3R.

I looked at the MOT history, it's a 2016 with over 100k on the clock, so it's probably not anyone famous.

Drained the pool today and jet washed the liner as level dropped.
But last 6" wouldn't shift as below the pump room level.
So me and neighbour cobbled together the pump from fountain. Didn't have relevant connections so was held in place by lots of lockwire and hope.
Ready to fit the top trim tmrw.

Similar job here. Drained ours as having a water loss issue which the pool guy thinks is the pipework leading the the water inlets. Coming tomorrow to test pipework and prepare for replacement.

I made a friend today!
Parked up for the night, and some random frenchie rocks up on an electric bike with a dog straddling the bars. Starts telling me he's got a moho just the same etc, we have a bit of a natter, show him what I've done, he cant believe the mileage I've done or the damage it had last year, and off he goes.
20 mins later he's back, inviting me for drinks at his place.....ah what the hell!
I get the electric tredder out and off we go. Wish I'd taken my phone. Perigordian towers, lift, Matra Murena in the garage he's had from new and a mint moho with just a couple of issues.
So we sat, drank some (glad I'm not driving til tomorrow) pastis, petted the dog, talked rugby, storms and a bit of politics.
Funny old world innit!

For the old boys around here. Just got this MOT'd and serviced. I bought this from Gremlin back in 2014.

The one and only car I regret selling.

Begsie first dobs if selling.

Done anything with it? Still running the old Kent engine?

Same Engine. Not done anything with it except maintain it (I fixed that niggly little oil leak).

It's a real head turner as you know.

Don't think I'll ever sell. Had loads of offers over the years.

Dog walk on the beach and with my old dog in his hire disability wagon which he loves. Probably his last trip to Cornwall so he’s getting spoilt (apart from the doggy dementia moment where he went for a paddle into the stream just as a huge wave rolled up the beach and muggins had to wade in up to his thighs to point him back to the shore as he was determined to head out to sea! ).

"Of all the stories you told me, which ones were true and which ones weren't?"
"My dear Doctor, they're all true."
"Even the lies?"
"Especially the lies."

Shooting well at archery tonight.

3 arrows from me and 3 from my shooting partner.

Only 20 metres indoors but still chuffed.

Pool man delivers me bad news after pressure testing.
Buried pipe from plant room to pool has gone pop, probably on an old galvanised fitting somewhere - going to have to lift patio and pool surround to replace the complete run. Kerching!!!!!
