Re: Desmosedici
I'm sure I read and article once about a guy who used one as a daily ride. In slow traffic the exhausts sets some part of it on fire.
So yeah, maybe get a scooter for the commute instead.

No. Been there done that and was terrified of scratching my immaculate, mint condition KTM SuperDuke R. I'd have another one in a heartbeat but not a stupidly low mileage, minty one.
If you want an investment, buy a lump of gold. About 1.4kg for that sort of money.
For shits and giggles, you could have it cast into something interesting like a working padlock, set of spanners or a doorstop. Pointless, exponentially more expensive than function demands but stunningly beautiful. Gold will appreciate more and more quickly than a modern "classic".
Don't the Saudis still have taps and bathrooms literally dripping with gold?

Story went that a salesman phoned Hampshire county's stores manager and said "Have I got a deal for you!" and flogged him a load far cheaper - but in far greater bulk - than usual. It was end of line clearance, but he neglected to mention that. HCC ended up supplying it to schools for years after everyone else had gone soft.
