New And Last Bike............

Post by Didge »

I've been riding bikes since I was 16, (I'm now 71), and in those 55 years, I've owned bikes from a Honda C50 cub, through to a Triumph Rocket 3, and many, many bikes of varying sizes inbetween.
The vast majority of the bikes I've had, I've enjoyed riding immensely. Among my favourites have been, Rocket 3, Triumph Thunderbird Storm, Buell Cyclone, Ducati Monster 900, Moto Guzzi V1000 Convert, (my number 1 favourite, despite it's flaws), Honda CG125 and the once ubiquitous Honda C90 Cub.
The last two were the best commuter bikes I ever owned. Both thrashed to within an inch of their lives on an almost daily basis, and both with minimal maintenance. Pukka little bikes.
At the moment, I have an ageing Honda SH125 i Scooter, and a Suzuki Burgman 650. I now find that I have to have one more motorcycle before I get too old and decrepit.
I have no need for speed or missile-like acceleration. I just want to ride.
So, I've bought one of these. Brand new, in the exact same finish. That'll do nicely. 8-) Pick it up in a few weeks.

My very first 'bike', which I had in '68, was in fact a Vespa 150 Super.
It got nicked, I saw the light, and bought my first PROPER bike, a BSA 250 Starfire, and all the grief that went with it, but that's too long a story. :(

That looks spot on.

Are you the same Didge as before? I think it was the previous website. It doesn't really matter, just curious.

Great little bike. Imo, removal of pillion seat improves the look. 🤔

RE is where it's at for enjoyable bimbling and 100 mpg. congratulations. 👍
