It appears i own an Ebike !!!!
Chatting with Couchie this morning he was saying how he needs to sell the Orbea as he's not got a use for it. He's got the Specialized and the Trek and the Orbea just doesn't have a purpose.
When out at Hopton on the Liv at the weekend it was slightly marred by the lack of gears, brakes, suspension, dropper on the Embolden...
So he's done me the deal of a lifetime deal and it appears i now own this

If you're used to a full power ebike no it isn't, if you're coming from a normal bike and have little interest or experience of full power bikes then it 100% is Power wise it's like a bosch in tour mode plus a little bit more. Very natural feeling and easy enough to pedal when assist stops.

I saw he was selling it and was very tempted. It sounded like a cracking thing when I read up on it.

Re: It appears i own an Ebike !!!!
I never realised Couchie's bike was an XS.
Re the power - from the e-bike riding I have done, I would be quite happy to have an e-bike light. Even at the weekend, when it was the first time on a bike for 10 weeks, I started on Trek Tour mode - then had a world with myself and went back to eco. The assistance is easily enough for my "getting backing the saddle" rides.
That said the Trek wasn't bought for that - it was so I could rift Surrey Hills without being the big bloke at the back ....

Taking of which - anyone up for a Surrey Hills meet? With the condition of my wrist it is more likely October.

Doubt is not a pleasant condition.

And car drivers complain about the speed humps on the roads, look at the state of that track.
Re: It appears i own an Ebike !!!!
I find that I rarely go above tour+ riding on my own, and when I’m riding with mates it’ll mostly be in eco because they’re peddling properly.Couchy wrote: ↑Tue Sep 19, 2023 12:41 pmIf you're used to a full power ebike no it isn't, if you're coming from a normal bike and have little interest or experience of full power bikes then it 100% is Power wise it's like a bosch in tour mode plus a little bit more. The weight saving is significant against my 25kg (ish) Whyte
