Still appears that 12+ month duel fuel fixed price deals are, with the exception of Shell Energy, restricted to existing customers.

Will be moving from a 3 bed to a 4 bed with two extra rooms, larger study and separate dining room. More to heat and more to power. Works out at around £100 a month more, ceilings are higher as well, so more space to heat in that aspect as well. At least it does have fairly decent DG windows and doors.

I've no idea about grants, or payback periods, for either (especially after Sunak's announcement). Wall insulation made a good difference for, reducing draughts in particular.

Install ceiling fans to push the heat back downwards in winter. Now then...Martin Lewis is telling us, now is the time to fix, cap just gone up 10%. Go on the compare sites and check.
Cap changes every 3 months, fix is for 12 months. So you might win for a while but could lose later in that year.
I checked mine and a current fix would save me £8 a year, I won't bother.
