Re: In todays news...
I know this is sports related, but news to me...
Hansi Flick has been sacked as Germany manager following Saturday's 4-1 friendly defeat by Japan in Wolfsburg.
He becomes the first Germany boss to be sacked since the role was created in 1926.
Strange how countries work.
England has sacked probably dozens of managers in that time.
Wonder how they've got rid of rubbish in the past?

Re: In todays news...
As well as having a leading role in the popular series 'Allo, Allo' Herr Flick was also successful at Bayern Munich, winning 70 out of 86 games.
Not really rubbish, quite talented it seems.

Re: In todays news...
Nikki Haley was sounding like a possibility, then she went full-on Hillary Clinton BatShitCrazy during the first debate. Just about everything she claimed other candidates said never happened. She misquoted Swami trying to make it appear he said the exact opposite of what he actually said.
Swami was the only one up there sounding intelligent.
Pence will never get the nomination because of his religion/superstition based idiocy.
DeSantis would get the most votes if it wasn't for Trump.
.. and now we've got ONE trial for NINETEEN people occuring in the middle of it... The prosecutor is saying it will only take 4 months... With something like 150 witnesses each have to testify 19 times... & christ knows how many lawyers all getting to have their say during jury selection.
I think the US has outlived it's usefulness.

Re: In todays news...
"Conspiracy" has changed its meaning since it is now used mainly as an insult. Typically used to align anyone who presents an off script message about the reality of todays political system right next to flat earthers and UFO chasers. It just means a group of people from disparate entities planning together to engineer a situation they know is not for the common good.Cousin Jack wrote: ↑Sun Sep 10, 2023 3:04 pm Given a choice between mahoosive conspiracy and assine fuckwittery, the fuckwittery is overwhelmingly most likely. It may well be combined with elements of criminalty and/or corruption, but it still isn't the 'deep state' conspiracy.
Can we call it for what it is; political corruption. Obviously those in receipt of "lobbying" (bribes) are in fact conspiring with <name that corporate entity. <name that corrupt politician> is no longer representing the best interest of their voters but doing whatever they are told by the highest bidder.
As for the so called "deep state" companies like Google and Facebook but especially Amazon are not people friendly corporate entities. They are extensions of state surveillance. Sponsored by various "programs" they receive MASSIVE handouts/investments from publicly funded state agencies to basically do what they're told. If you don't think those companies have embedded ties to state authorities like the CIA/FBI then that's not what I call "thinking".
Taxpayers money being used to create systems which give more power, more control and more authority to the installed government until one day we all wake up in a totalitarian regime. That is the plan. Whether or not it will work remains to be seen. I am particularly interested in what happens with the WHO and their power grab which would grant them authority over and above any sovereign country.
In light of Billy fucking Gates and his ownership of the WHO, his position on transhumanism/eugenics and a curious appetite for developing deadly viruses, I can only hope it ends up as the plot for the next Bond movie (You Only Die Once). Not an horrific dystopian future where half the worlds population is wiped out by a "mystery virus" and the survivors have to use Windows to maintain life support with their "smart blood nanites"...

And breath!
I am no fan of large corporations like Google, Facebook, Amazon et all, but they are just greedy bastards trying to achieve a monopoly in their field. It is a big step from nasty big business to controlling the USA although they certainly have far too much clout. Wait a bit and they will die, like the cattle barons, oil barons, railroad barons, etc did before them.

IKR but there is so much information out there that people either are not aware of or don't think is relevant. For example, Amazon AWE is MASSIVELY subsidised by DARPA who basically run on their servers. Infrastructure as a service, platform as a service etc. to use the nomenclature. Here's how I translate that: US tax dollars being given to Amazon AWE to provide the state with cloud based surveillance solutions.
Now you can spin that any way you want. Human nature, greedy bastards, capitalist business venture, they're just a client etc. but don't be fooled. Amazon is not making its money by selling tat or books. It is selling you and they are representative of the deep state, following a trajectory towards a surveillance and totalitarian regime similar to that employed by the CCP.
Currently you will discover it is difficult to operate within the "developed world" without a certain minimum number of basic technology solutions. Email, eBank, authentication protocols etc. That is about to change. Soon it will be impossible and I am horrified that people are so casual about the whole thing. Put it this way: what evidence do we have that our political representatives can be trusted?

I'd like to comment, but don't understand 99% of the conspiracy site that's being posted.
Maybe we should have a separate thread for the US shite that nobody cares about?

'In today's U.S. News'...?
Not saying things get derailed in this thread, but if somebody posts a link to the story of a cat stuck up a tree in Wolverhampton by post no. 3 it would have been Hunter Biden who shoved it up there and Trump charging to get it down and Amazon shoving a microchip up its arse on the way to the vet.

Re: In todays news...
It's sort of -News- but there's a decent amount of unsupportable bollocks, moaning and regional specific stuff in there. I think we can assume this thread is primarily for interesting news stories that might spark a bit of debate. Given the demographic on here I can't see that article about California gun tax has much legs to it. But yes, we're crying out for more point-and-laugh Biden content obviously.MrLongbeard wrote: ↑Sun Sep 10, 2023 11:54 pm
