Misano MotoGP

Post by Yorick »

I'm looking forward to seeing the rumours come true, as much as I'm looking forward to the racing.

Where will MM be in 2024?

I wonder do the rest of the riders get a bollocking when a 37 year old test rider more or less steals the show. I was willing Pedrosa to overtake Bagnaia and get a podium.

Rumours are that KTM want 5 bikes on the grid next year.
They should be asking for 6 :D

Dani did pretty well today, as did bagpuss resisting dani's efforts to get past. Binder looked ragged and tearing his tyres up for shit & giggles.
Martin was bloody supreme today though...

It's not a rumour, KTM asked Dorna for an extra bike and were told no. Dorna said you can have five riders though, swap them around and give them all a go.

I'm pleased for Pedrosa but that was very dull.

They usually are. I was again hoping Pedrosa would get a podium, he said yesterday he's a bit rusty.

Just had a look at the championship standings, Pedrosa is in 20th place, 3 points behind MM and only 6 points behind Bastianini.

I'd have much rather seen more of Binder's recovery & MMarquez making it to 7th.

Have another look at the standings - Pedrosa's ahead of both of them!

My mistake.

Just goes to show what a waste of space Bastianini is.

In his defence, he's had some big injuries.

Pedrosa showed how weak the field is at the moment, it’s giving better racing (occasionally) but when the next Rossi, MM, Doohan or Stoner turns up they’ll run away with it. If MM gets a decent bike they won’t see where he went.

I sort of agree. That's why I'm dying to see M.M. on a Ducati.

If MM is 10, I rate Baggy and Bez about 8.5.
I'd put FabFrog about 9

Maybe, but there are a few riders riding with injuries, no competitive Japanese bikes, the Aprillia and KTM can win races but not consistently beat the Ducatis, so there's a lot of factors why Pedrosa came 4th, also I'm sure HRC thought he was pretty good as they employed him for a long time.

Pedro Acosta is beginning to look like the real deal in Moto2 and I am seriously impressed with David Alonso in Moto3 - he really is a star in the making.

The test has finished.

Fab Frog was 0.3 faster than Qualifying

MM was 0.3 slower

Hmm
