Fun no doubt, but like watching MotoE racing, the noise make my teeth ache. They've captured the sound of chewing silver paper. :(

I dont think the bike sound is that important on scoots?? I never put a race can on my SH300?

I reckon that would be an absolute hoot blasting through cities!

It's not the sound they don't make,it's that horrible whine they do. :(

Why is it that he referred to it as a moped, when it does more than 28mph?
Still looks like a scooter ( albeit with the rear panels missing) as much as a sportsbike looks like a sportsbike, and an ADV bike looks like a ADV bike.
Nothing new here, move along now.

1. Nowt wrong with that for a lot of people.
2. There is an underseat box available. See pic below.
3. I dont think that was part of teh design brief. Not many people choose a small leccy scooter for 2 up use.
4. "The motor is complemented by two portable battery packs at 720Wh and 6kg each with a claimed range of 37 miles (that's in Eco mode with a 4kW cap on power output) and a touted recharge time from 20% to 80% in under 40 minutes".

It's not got enough range for a pizza bike. (I'd imagine they're doing in excess of 100 miles a night when it's busy)

Just have a rack of batteries on charge at the pizza (burger, whatevs) place. Pick up pizza, swap battery. (I assume it's a fast process).

It comes with 2 batteries. So you could have one charging whilst out delivering and its literally minutes to open the flap and swap them over.

Swappable Batteries
The i300's EV drivetrain is fuelled by a portable lithium-ion battery system. The scooter does not require roadside swapping via a kiosk that is utilised by the likes of Taiwan's Gogoro.

EVP2Ws should be ‘infrastructure-free’ in a way that EV cars can never be, says Chatsuwan.

"What we have created is a system that uses two portable battery packs, each weighing just 6kgs, provided as an independent pair, which uniquely allow the i300 to operate with only one battery installed. These battery packs can plug into any domestic 3-pin wall socket," he explains.

The swappable battery packs have a World Motorcycle Test Cycle (WMTC) range of 60kms.

"The ultra-low weight and charging format addresses the lifestyle of modern city dwellers, who may live in walk-up apartment buildings, and high-rise offices. It also allows each rider to personalize their battery charging routine. ‘Take it everywhere. Charge it anywhere'. This eliminates range anxiety, which is in fact charge anxiety."

I used to fill up my Domino's moped once a shift, at most, and I worked from opening to close. Back then Domino's were only open sorta 4-11pm ish, don't remember the specifics.

So far, aesthetically speaking, this is the only scooter (either leccy or ICE) that I'd consider swinging a leg over. It has the potential to be the modern lambretta, so you can swing it about the hip cafes with the wind in your hair and ciao-ing the knickers off all the ladies.
Yeah I totally get that it might be a less good solution for the tabarded commuters with the barnacles in their beards, but I'm sure there's a more repellent version out there that'll suit them down to the ground.

I like it. It sorts of reminds me of an italjet, iyswim? I'd quite happily have one as a city bike.

People get confused all the time... regularly talk about all scooters as mopeds

In the India book of records:

An Ultraviolette F77 electric motorcycle "covered an extraordinary distance of 6,727 km within merely 22 days".

Range is quoted at 307 km on full charge, with a top speed reaching 152km/h.
