Transferring tunes from ipod to new laptop
Transferring tunes from ipod to new laptop
My old macbook died on me and I have purchased a new Inspiron 2in1. My itunes has around 100gb worth of music in it and now it's all on my ipod classic. I had a few tunes stored in the icloud and have them on my new laptop now but was hoping to plug my ipod in and transfer them to new laptop without it syncing the other way and deleting everything. I've googled my problem and there is a piece of software (touch copy) that promises it can do this and I don't mind paying for it but does anyone know if there is an easier / cheaper way of doing this?

Imazing will transfer photos and music easily.
I use it instead of iTunes as my phone now has more data on it than my PC hard drive can hold so it cannot be synced.

Re: Transferring tunes from ipod to new laptop
Bit late to the party but… I got over this by using VMWare Fusion Player - free version. I use it to run a free version of MacOS High Sierra which has the original version of iTunes - not the crappy new version. No problem. I have two 160gb iPods and both run very well. Needless to say, I have both iPod music files backed up on two Canvio 2TB external hard drives. Too much music and far too many years of hard work to lose them.
