It's an international Livestream from Austria (Servus TV), as MotoGP is free to air in Austria. So I VPN to an Austrian server and watch for free. I think Matthew Birt is one of the English language commentators, but there are two and they operate in a sort of tag team format.

Just checked a bit further and it's the Dorna 'World feed' with Matt Birt and Louis Suddaby (and Simon Crafar, who is a blessed relief to the other two). This is what others think of the two main Dorna commentators:

Simon Crafer is a miserable twat. Hate his podium interviews.mangocrazy wrote: ↑Mon Sep 04, 2023 12:31 pm Just checked a bit further and it's the Dorna 'World feed' with Matt Birt and Louis Suddaby (and Simon Crafar, who is a blessed relief to the other two). Re: MotoGP Catalunya
Really? His rider interviews are often cringey, but his technical insights are normally spot on. He always struck me as a bit over-keen and fawning (a bit like a cocker spaniel), but I can live with that for his technical stuff.Yorick wrote: ↑Mon Sep 04, 2023 1:52 pmSimon Crafer is a miserable twat. Re: MotoGP Catalunya
Bagnia was so lucky on two counts I think. That was a vicious high side (I know, they are all pretty vicious!) but to avoid breakages when another rider hits your legs is a miracle!!
A mate thinks that Binder 'jumped' or bunny hopped his bike to avoid a full impact (also says that this damaged the engine causing the retirement) - but I've not seen the highlights to have another go at watching it!
Having seen the mental damage to a mate and the physical to the other mate that fell off in front of him and ended up with two badly broken legs (and the first mates 1098 was pretty badly damaged too - he stopped riding on track after that, from being a pretty good racer in his youth), I was so so pleased to see that Bagnia was ok !!

Life is for living. Buy the shoes. Eat the cake. Ride the bikes. Just, ride the bikes!!

Re: MotoGP Catalunya
Bad news for Bagnaia
“The Ducati Lenovo Team rider will have to miss the next home GP in Misano and the two events scheduled at the end of the month in India and Japan.”
That means he is due to return in Indonesia, round 15, on October 13-15.

Re: MotoGP Catalunya
The Crash.net article I saw was referring to Bastianini (not Bagnaia) missing the next three rounds...

Pecco is still hopeful of returning at Misano...!

Re: MotoGP Catalunya
The Italian landed in the path of Brad Binder, whose KTM was already spraying fluid after being damaged by debris from Bagnaia’s bouncing bike.
