Up at Silverstone today...

We've got 2 guys in here with us who have turned up with S1000RRs which have it seems big problems and need rebuilding... i mean why wouldn't you turn up with a bike that's actually ready to work ??
One of them seems to be rebuilding his head bearings/headstock....

You've then got the others who decide their bike needs warming up at 6000rpm, 45 mins before going out... Then again 20 mins before going out....

It's a bit bonkers for sure...

I must admit, harsh as it sounds, yesterday at BPW was far far more me...

Has the S1000RR taken over as the "bike-of-choice' for the discerning Two-Wheeled Asinine Twit?

Used to be the FireBlade, then the R1, basically whatever MCN or Bike currently had listed as the highest bph output vs lowest weight with the most uncomfortable seat currently.

Maybe as they get older they gravitate towards BMWs and BMW's marketing department are getting it spot on.
