He put in the same lap times which took him to the win last year, but the others have moved the game on to the extent, that lap time now puts him last,or close to it.

Yamaha have needed to take action since Rossi was riding and they are still on the slide. I wonder how Zarco feels looking at where the Hondas are. Mir said he'd never raced a worse bike.
I was surprised to see that Zarco is heading to Honda, but others here pointed out that it's a 2-3 year well paid contract - and whilst I would prefer him to win, he doesn't usually!!

Well paid,no doubt, but he run away from KTM when it was still developing, plus recent history tells us,he may enjoy the money from the comfort of a hospital bed. Look at the injuries of Marquez,Mir,Rins and how often they fall off from even off the pace times.

Zarco has always been a character who needs to feel at home with the team,Honda aren't known for being touchy, feely types.

It's hard to work out, looking from the outside in.

Will be interesting for sure. Might be his best option (on paper)? Here's hoping he can improve it without throwing it at the scenery as much as Marquez does?!!

The 17 year old Colombian, David Alonso, is definitely one to watch for the future. His situational and spacial awareness is as good as anyone I've ever seen. If he carries on as he is doing I'd say he'll be in MotoGP within 5 years.

I'm sick to the back teeth of constant references to Aleix's mistake last year where he stopped a lap early. They mention it every 5 minutes or so. Give it a fucking rest...

Think it’s a Brit thing. Haven’t heard the French mention (ok, only today as don’t really listen on other races!! Just didn’t want to miss an update!!)

That start was horrible - news on Bagnaia still pending but they were all very lucky to come away as well as they did.

I hate seeing highsides. I know there are expected injuries from after he landed, but honestly I'd think that the highside itself could have caused something. Bloody hope I'm wrong

Sodding Canal+ have swapped to F1 and I can't find a way to get back to MotoGP so I have no idea what is going on with Bagnaia :(

Just found this on autosport page -
Bagnaia is thought to have largely escaped any serious injuries, with the Italian undergoing scans to confirm he has not suffered any fractures to his leg.
Here's hoping he's got nothing serious and the hospital is just caution

Last year Aleix said he was top 3 in the world. Everybody laughed. Including me.
And all laughed that he'd never had a win.

A few folk are eating their words now. Including me.
I'm sort of warming to him, but still wanted Maverick to win.

And young Jake has gone up a level. Making Acosta look silly in qualify.
Then winning superbly and laughing about Acosta being the next MM ;)

Pretty much the same - I thought Aleix was a perpetual midfield runner, but he's proved me, you and a load of other people wrong. He has a top notch engineering team behind him, but he is El Capitan - the one that spurs the whole factory on to greater things.

But yeah, I really wanted Mav to get his first Aprilia win as well. It will come, I'm sure.

I watched the race on catchup and missed what caused all the cement dust.

Saw the 2 crashes, but the dust made no sense.

First or second crash site? If the second, I think his bike slid a long way so probably dumped something on the track?

I think either Pecco or Brad's bike suffered a punctured oil cooler in the crash, so oil got spread over a large section of track.

When Aleix himself was constantly referring to it by painting "One more lap" on his helmet, I think the media can be forgiven for also talking about it.

Bagnia aiming to be at Mugello, and has no serious injuries.

Aleix has it painted on his lid, which is fair enough. He fucked up and he's acknowledging that fact. The commentators referring to his cock-up virtually every lap and banging on about 'redemption' was plain cringe-worthy and vomit inducing. It's all about filling air time - it seems they're incapable of leaving any silence in the commentary - instead they fill every second with (often) banal nonsense.

Which channel do you watch?

I love the BT commentators.
