Insurance

Post by v8-powered »

I may be getting older (not old, still only 52!) and the bike may stick of piss a little (R1100S) but when I renew my insurance FC for £47.11 per year, I don't care

Most vehicle insurance is a bargain when you consider how much the insurers might have to pay out for a claim against you.

Hoping for a big drop this year. I got some emails about renewing my Trident this year, it was in and around £130 full comp which is much more like it. Doubt the MT will be down to that, but hopefully not far off.

Pretty much my view as well. Even a minor bump can run into many thousands when you factor in dodgy car hire companies (often owned by the ‘claim handling’ company) and other no win no fee companies chasing clients.

I would if I could get a better price, but when I've shopped around only one quote was less (and by just a few££'s) so I'm going to have to pay it.
No I don't live in Peterborough,it's nice around here :D

Insurance is mad. I thought about buying the brat's 645i off him. I checked the insurance on the meerkat and its LESS fully comp than my 1.1 Pug 106 is TPF&T

What the actual fuck?

You're saving £50 this year with the higher excess, assuming the saving is the same if you claim withing 5 years you'll have lost money.

T'other day I did an online search for my bike in UK.
Lowest FC was £303. I paid about £200 last time 9 years ago.

My son-in-law, 40, not a huge amount of no claims because he didn't learn to drive like forever - £1k pa driving a fairly average looking Honda :o

Apparently sparks are a big risk? Certainly most of his colleagues act like teenagers with the drink and drugs.
