Vision Track Racing Moto3 Rider Futures....
Scott Ogden's future in the team? He's not really progressed much from last year in terms of results, but I think he'll get one more year to prove he can be a regular top 10 finisher.
The question is, who's going to replace Josh Whatley? I can't see them continuing with him, and there's plenty of fast, young guns in their BSB team, so who deserves the seat? I would have said Johny Garness, but he needs to come back from his injuries (if he can), so he'll not be in the frame for a while.
Speculation, rumours, etc, as to who'll be in the team? I've not heard anything.

Both waaay too big for Moto3 and from what I have seen elsewhere Casey O’Gorman who is Red Bull Rookies looks to be moving away from the Dorna paddock due to some issues and politics. He would have been the ideal slot in but was in the BSB paddock at Cadwell with an OMG Supersport ride but injured himself in practise so didn’t race

Are we saying that the pool of candidates has run dry already?

The top three currently in the British talent cup must be worth watching. Shirley?
Belford,Brinson and Mounsey. Garness has to be at the top of that list,he was dominent before getting hurt.
They've all a while before reaching the 18 y/o age limit. That might work in favour of the British riders, who seem to mature later than the Spanish or Italian.

Yep, Garness is a shoe in, if his recovery goes well, and it hasn't scared him.

I think at that age, nothing scares you, youth is immortal and that's before you add in the racing mindset!westers151 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2023 7:56 pm Yep, Garness is a shoe in, if his recovery goes well, and it hasn't scared him.

Re: Vision Track Racing Moto3 Rider Futures....
The problem we have now is the age gaps .....Our talent cup is open to 14 year olds so people like Casey O'Gorman who has already won it are parked for a minimum of a couple of years as he has just turned 16 waiting for the lower Moto3 age limit now the goalposts have moved after the fatalities to a some kids and Garness will be in the same boat once he recovers. A season in Red Bull Rookies and European Talent cup has kept Casey in the eyes of teams but he has another 2 years to wait as the minimum age is now 18 unless he wins Red Bull Rookies in which case he gets in at 17 which is too late for season start. Garness is only 14 so has a minimum of 3 years, probably 4 before he can be entered into Moto3 in the GP paddockwesters151 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2023 7:34 pm Are we saying that the pool of candidates has run dry already?
Vision Track are then left to pick British lads that are running in Moto3 in CEV and CIV as the British paddock has the talent cup for the kids then its all production based classes which wont help them into the GP paddock but possibly into WSB at the lower level.
