Was going to knock out a batch of pasty's, but discovered the snadger I bought was basically an oak cricket ball surrounded by about 2mm of actual swede...

Had to deal with a bit of a Gremlinette meltdown. I think she's stressing about moving so far away to university, but doesn't want to show it. We've all had a good chat and told her it's perfectly natural, etc., etc.

One of her stresses was that she didn't have enough suitable 'uni clothing' and I suddenly found myself offering to take her shopping. :o

My brother went to Uni just down the road and never really cut the strings. One self imposed requirement for me was that I had to go somewhere "a decent distance" away partly based on his experience.

I was also short a few items of clothing TBF, but only cause I discovered on arrival there was a dress code for certain freshers events

I've been shown the schedule for Fresher's Week. It reads like an 18-30's party week in Magaluf, circa 1995. :o

One event promises a live appearance by Dappy, he of N-Dubz. Fuck me, there's an inspiration for all the kids of something not to aspire to.

Both the earth and the moon paid a visit to MK a few years ago. The moon as, uggh, outdoors, though so fuck that.

Looks like some parsley in a glass of hot water with an air dried sausage to stir it with. :eh:

(Being Perigeux I suspect it's a fungus, not parsley).

Raw egg yoke probs.

Fungus tartare innit? :D

Edit: from their website....

Egg perfectly cooked in front of you, aromas of truffles and wild mushrooms, black bread sticks (the egg is cooked when the flame goes out)

Won't be raw for long with the burner under. Poached egg with fungus and an old sausage?
