Does 35 years in MK count as local? Bloody English, they complain the Cornish are clanish and don't welcome strangers. :eh:
They used to welcome strangers. They waved lights at them from the shore. :hmmm:

My particular little grid square of MK also gets a mention in said book, despite the fact we're literally the next grid square over from MK Village (now called Middleton). The world was a bigger place back then

Lol. I did play that :obscene-birdiedoublered:

I was in MK from 1996 to 2004. Only 2 miles from where you worked.

That's far too close

I lived in Bradell village 1996. Opposite the Victoria pub and 2 doors from the Albert pub.

Loved to watch the cricket on the green. But the locals were horrible.

Then 2 years in Shenley Church End.

Then bought my pension winning house in Great Holm in 1998

I awoke from my slumber with Mrs Gremlin playing with my chest hair. She whispered to me, 'Darling, as you grafted all day yesterday with me and my business partner moving desks, pedestals, filing cabinets and all the stores and racking to our new building, you can do anything you want today....anything...you....like'.

I rested my heads back on my down-filled pillow and thought for a while. I then said...

'What I'd really like to do is spend the best part of Sunday walking around a Scandinavian home store, being annoyed by the feral populous of Croydon, buying lots of pointless stuff for our daughter's uni accommodation that I will never see again and will cost me loads of money'.

And who said dreams never come true, eh?

On the downhill scooters ready for storage!! Random day off tomorrow cos the forecast isn't good. Properly not good for August if some are to be believed as they are suggesting it will snow :o

Got to try and 'decorate' some trainers as I've been invited to a wedding reception tomorrow afternoon and the dress code is < make sure to wear your funkiest trainers>
