They concluded that he did nothing wrong, but made a few unwise decisions

Then loads of female groups decided he was a scumbag and the club had to give in.

Poor fucker. I know there's no smoke without fire, but his life has been wrecked by the allegations, then by his club sacking him.

If the claims were false, the complainant(s) should be prosecuted..

Any idea what this:
a Manchester United statement claimed Greenwood "did not commit the offences in respect of which he was originally charged", adding: "Based on the evidence available to us, we have concluded that the material posted online did not provide a full picture."
Refers to?

There was a pretty damning recording of some rather rapey behaviour. The whole charges suddenly withdrawn thing stinks to high heaven, he's also been on full pay the whole time, he'll just get signed for that Saudi league and pocket the cash.

Charges suddenly being withdrawn tells me that the charges stank to high heaven in the first place with the police and CPS trying to win political brownie points.

I don't catch the bus very often, but when I get off I always thank the driver, I'd say in my experience a very large percentage of passengers do, 80% at least.

Maybe it's just a Yorkshire thing.

Who was it said that the bus driver replied "that's ok, I was going this way anyway"?

Where I live the bus fare is capped to £2 and they go to town every half hour, so it's cheaper than a taxi (£14) if you're going on the piss in town.

Darwinism strikes again - Jet d'Eau: Man hurt after mounting Geneva's giant fountain
A young man had to be taken to hospital after getting too close to one of Geneva's most famous landmarks - the Jet d'Eau fountain.

He first tried to put his face on the nozzle where the water is pumped from but was thrown backwards.

He then tried again and was sent upwards by the power of the water, before crashing down onto a nearby walkway.
No mention of his nationality, but I wouldn't be surprised if he turned out to be a Brit.

I've always done it and definitely not northern!! LOL I did get some funny looks from drivers in Bristol though - they obviously weren't used to it! But for me it's just normal - big smile and say hello, then smile and thank you when getting off.

But then I'm pretty smiley/friendly/polite to any 'workers' I see in the day!! Can't think of a reason not to be!!

It's a tradition here in Bristol to thank the driver, the saying 'Cheers Drive' is used by most 'proper' Bristolians to thank the driver as you leave.

We even have a Cheers Drive road named after the saying!

Seems Dorries has finally fecked off - Nadine Dorries resigns: Conservative MP attacks PM as she quits Commons

It's only taken her two months.

And she's missed the point again - She launched a blistering attack on Rishi Sunak in her resignation statement, telling the prime minister "history will not judge you kindly".

History will not judge the entire tribe of theiving, lying, rule breaking tories kindly never mind just Sunak.

Anyone want to open a book on by how much the tories will lose Dorries' seat?

Probably a coincidence that they just doubled the length of time they get paid after quitting.

You're about the only one.

Aul fuckers getting on and then shuffling the length of the bus instead of sitting in the priority seats reserved for them, were the bane of my life.

I remember one codger, at the height of lockdown, would get the Glider at Dundonald, then get the 9a to Seymour Hill, I'd finish the route at Conway, turn round and he'd be sitting at the citybound stop drinking coffee and eating a Danish. He refused to wear a mask too.

Either he was a drugs mule for the UDA or just a thran git.

Another old dear in Monkstown would give sweets to the drivers. You binned them because they were actually laxatives.
