Wideband sensor kit

Post by dern »

Does anyone have any experience of buying a Wideband afr kit including sensor and gauge? There seem to be many of these things from £30 to over £200. I want to use it for carb tuning and while I know there are other methods, it’s this one I’m particularly interested in.

Thanks.

Yes. Used a dynojet wide band commander. You get an analogue 2" gauge which is handy and there's also an analogue out, probably 0.5 to 4.5v I can't remember. There are other ones. Having the analogue gauge is very handy imo.
Application was single cylinder supermono race bike. It ran injection and carb. Extremely useful as you can spot the gauge on the high load
Stuff and keep an eye on it.
I don't know why you would waste your time tuning a motor without one. You don't time laptimes without a stopwatch. Data is king.
