@Alan PBTD on the back protector, does it have to be a standalone full length back protector or are those in pockets of the jacket okay? I have both but my standalone is quite old now.
Edit - just read the safety briefing and am clued up.

Heading off about 1000 and all going to plan will be in the area between 1700 and 1800. Weather on the way down will decide if i am camping Friday evening or heading to somewhere with a roof and shower to warm up and dry off

Just seen the weather forecast. Hope it's wrong as I know how much effort you put into it every year.

It's @Alan PBTD who puts in the hard yards now. But that's less chaotic than it used to be for us. I just go shopping Fri morning and turn up at weekend, the rest just falls into place

Well, in theory - as long as someone packs the right set of leathers ?
And on slightly different subject - ish - as your all stupidly busy people and don't have time for mundane form filling....but if you get someone else to ''Sign On'' for you please make sure they put your name on the form and not their own...
Wonderful...

On the Back Protector thing - as some aren't on FB :
Back Protectors. They are mandatory. Have been all season - all over the UK. Now if you have a simple ''incert'' in your leathers then that's fine. Now if you're happy sliding down the track with just that and a bit of leather between your back and the tarmac then that's fine as well. Personally we'd say it's not so fine and recommend something a bit more robust and have found an independent ( Straps / Kidney Belt ) BP will give you a lot more protection. And u may ask but for legal and operational reasons we ( in fact any TDO ) can't specifically state which BP is Ok and which ones aren't.
3.0 Air Bag Suits. if you have such a suit then a BP can be omitted. Please ensure it's in the right ''Mode'' (Track / Road).
If you are involved in a incident and our Medical crews are attending / the bags stay inflated / they need to assist you further they have been instructed to deflate it themselves (in which ever way the see fit, Stanley). The same applies if leathers have to be removed - they will be simply cut off you.
These pointers are NOT up for discussion - they are there to help you ''in your minutes of need'' and potentially, could save your life.

@Dodgy69 I'm going to head down early tomorrow and get checked into the hotel. I'll pop over to the track for shortly after 6 to meet everyone for a bit.

We'll be there buddy. I assume @Alan PBTD will be coming in for food too.
We've got shopping first for BBQ stuff of course when we arrive. I'm guessing we'll be there by 4.
If everyone is t rocking up till 6-7pm do I need to worry about gazebo then guys? I will of course have it in van, but not sure if you lot need it now ?

I'll snuggle up with Bowman's crew Friday evening @weeksy so don't make special trip. Think @dern coming later.

Apparently I was asked / told I'm on taxi duty early Friday night for a Hen Do and when I asked tonight about times was told I'll hear tomorrow...so it'll be a late call for me ti get down there.

I didn't bother... but i'm pretty curious to see what comes out of the vanTricky wrote: ↑Tue Aug 08, 2023 8:34 am Well, it isn't a 1290 but last night I bought another bike and will be bringing it to Pembrey along with the ZX6 so @weeksy , you might want to bring your leathers as I am 99.9% sure that you'll never have sat on one of these before and you WILL want to ride this one

Have a great weekend all. Weather is looking a bit patchy down here but hopefully you'll all get some dry time?
Looking forward to the reports and photos.

Re: 2023 OFFICIAL Extravaganza trackday thread. come one, come all. 11/12/13 August
Our plan has been slightly revised, Mrs Weeksy is recommending we bring the gazebo, tents etc and setup this afternoon/evening. So we'll be rocking up to track later to see whoever is there handy, then heading to hotel for about 6 for food and a beer.
We'll leave the gazebo, table, chairs etc for people... however...
1. I expect it tidy in the morning
2. I won't be leaving the beers

Spose I better start packing....I hate packing. ☹ Also, I don't mind looking after the beer , if you want to leave it with a responsible adult.
