Puig Screen - how can I cut it down?
I have a Puig adjustable screen for the Diavel. It’s the size of a barn door.
They also do it in Sports size - which is about 30% smaller. From a visual point of view - and possibly practically , it could work better.
Is there anyway to cut acrylic so it doesn’t look rubbish?

Very gently with a Dremel, then file/sand the edge round and clean with "not very rough" paper.

Re: Puig Screen - how can I cut it down?
I recently cut down a piece of lexan for a replacement gauge cluster 'window' with a dremel to do the initial cutting and then a standard bench grinder to get to a smoother start point you could polish from. The bench grinder worked amazingly well and there was no grabbing and provided you took it steady there was far less melting than with the dremel as the grinding wheel didn't get anywhere near as hot.
From there you'll want to wet and dry sand it with a block I imagine but I didn't get to do this so I'm remembering this from school when we formed and polished acrylic sheet but that was a very very long time ago.
The trick with all of it is not to get too much heat in to the piece and protect the surface with masking tape.

Which is a very good answer - but I don't really like the touring screen and don't want to blow more cash on something that may or may not work.
I have the DP Touring screen as well - but it's not really easy on the eye!

This chap has done it on his HD - I remembered shade tree surgeon doing it to one of his gold wings.

Pretty sure they run a blowtorch over the cut edges of perspex to smooth and clear them up in signmakers.
They'll be something about it on Youtube no doubt.

Looking at those you tubes it’s doable. But matey boy just had to do the top - I would need to do three sides which equals three curves.

Are bigger screens always quieter than smaller ones?
Alternatively, you may be better off with one of MRA’s screens that aren’t barn-door-sized (e.g. an MRA Racing Screen).

Get an MRA screen with a spoiler thing on the top. That little bit at the top does actually work!
