Today's ride was berserk in comparison. Just 2 of us so went exploring and found some new bits.
Then headed UP to cool down in the clouds
Best ride for ages. This GasGas just gets better :)

Can see the path we took, above the handlebars.

Tbf... reckon that would be great fun, maybe you need to get 1 or 2 more bike's and get a little business going. 🙂👍

I think I may as well get rid of all of mine, I've not ridden any of them for a couple of months due to being stupidly busy and the shit weather.

Been properly wank hasn't it :angry-cussingblack: It's why I'm taking a day off tomorrow for a ride, most weekends I'm busy with the kids or it's been pissing it down. Mainly the latter :angry-cussingblack: :angry-cussingblack: :angry-cussingblack: :angry-cussingblack: :angry-cussingblack:

Vulcanet wipes, but I'm never out in the shitty weather, they wouldn't do if the bike needed anything more than getting rid of flies or dust.

I am glad some of you like it, I hated the POS.

Super Meteor by name, below average slug by nature. It had one clever licence-saving feature, it will only just achieve an indicated 73 after a long and protracted run up. Other than that it is dire.

It is only 20bhp... which what, 30bhp down on your CB500?

I don't like the cruiser styling of the Meteor, but I'd be quite happy with the HNTR 350 (the matt blue and white one).

Hunters OK, bit modern looking maybe, I like the classic look for my enfield fix.

To be fair, it was pleasant cruising on an empty road across Dartmoor at 35-40 mph. On fast roads just about everything was faster, including some trucks. On twisty roads the gearchange is dire.

The cruiser styling is horrible, the feet forward bit feels weird and made my back ache. The heel and toe change is an abomination, and the sidestand is hard to find, your foot finds the centrestand but that was never going to work while sat on the bike. Oh yes, it vibrates, enough that I had to stop twice to screw up the mirror before it fell off. You get used to the blurred mirrors, but I draw the line at them swinging through 30 degrees in the breeze.

Surprisingly the dealer reckons they sell well, no accounting for taste. At least I appreciate the CB500f a bit more.

Wouldn't be my choice of steed to go onto a moor, but then I have adventure bikes in my DNA...

I quite like adventure bikes, the problem is that I don't have adventure bike sized legs. Riding is not a problem, sudden stops are1
