There have been eight different winners in the last eight races at Silverstone:
Jorge Lorenzo (2013, Yamaha),
Marc Marquez (2014, Honda),
Valentino Rossi (2015, Yamaha),
Maverick Vinales (2016, Yamaha),
Andrea Dovizioso (2017, Ducati),
Alex Rins (2019, Suzuki),
Fabio Quartararo (2021, Yamaha) Francesco Bagnaia (2022, Ducati).

Re: British MotoGP
Come on - Moto3 was bonkers - they were 5 or 6 abreast going into most corners. And there was plenty of action in MotoGP, with a ninth different winner in 9 years and the outcome still in doubt at the final corner.westers151 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 06, 2023 10:34 pm Dull as ditch water, the whole thing. I didn't watch Moto2 as SWMBO decided we needed to go grocery shopping. But Jake Dixon's post-race rant was entertaining. And justified.

Re: British MotoGP
Oh I dunno - alieix's stalking of bagpus and getting the pass in on the last lap was quite the build up of tension and olivera's storming through the pack was great. Not to mention m&m and quataroface spannering other riders.
Quite apart from the actual racing I find it fascinating watching motogp riders handling those bastard bikes so I'm glad I went & watched.

Re: British MotoGP
I thought the MotoGP race was consistently interesting and a slow burner that intensified as the race went on. Aleix's decisive pass on Pecco was a thing of beauty.
